That would be INCREDIBLE. Absolutely unbelievable if things played out that way.

    1) We get a first-round opponent we know we can beat
    2) Utah vs. LA means at least one team that owns us gets eliminated
    3) If we advance we know we can beat the 2/7 winner and we avoid the Lakers in round two

    I hope you're right, my friend. ;)

I still want a first round match up against Utah or Dallas. I don't care what the odds are. Beating one of our main rivals would be the only thing that lessens the sting of not winning a Championship.

Yeh I dont care who we play. Give us home court and I like our chances against any team. We just need to be healthy going in.

If you think about it we sound nothing but a bunch of losers.
We're trying to prevent from going face to face with the Jazz in the playoffs.

I really hope we play New Orleans or Portland.

Well, getting to the second round is better than not making it at all.

Jazz are not the 90s Sonics. Rockets can beat them with the right nucleus of players. Mentally tough players that is.

Whereas the 90s Rockets were mentally tough, and STILL couldn't beat the Sonics.

I would much rather face the lakers. Jazz is just a bad match-up. Boozer and Okur basically meant the end of Yao. The lacking of a dominant Guard/Forward, meant that Battier and Artest will not be on the opposite team's best offensive player. DWill will continue to bully AB or Lowry.

I actually fancy Rox chances against the Lakers. Yao can win us 1 game, Ron can win the other game. And the team will win the other 2 games.
