Well, Love is the ultimate stats guy. He gets great stats, but he doesn`t really help win too many games. This may sound like hating, and I am not, I love Love and I would love to have him on our team... but he still is a spot up shooter with an ok post game, great rebounding and no defense, that doesn`t take over too many games. He regularly disappeared when the games was on the line. Ask in the Timberwolves fan forums - he did take a lot of heat in the past. I am not saying it is clear cut - I am saying, lots of GM would have a debate here. Hardens defensive problems can be better hidden with a great post player. Bad defense in the post means you are in trouble. And who would they rather have in the fourth quarter when the game is tied? I am sure, most would take Harden for his ability to get to the free throw line and because he is multi dimensional (great shooter, great drive to the basket, great passer). Again, Love is a great player, looks like a MVP so far. But there were plenty of problems in his game, and I don`t think he has fixed them all so far. Edit: oh, and one of the major reasons Harden isn`t playing like last year so far are injuries as well...
