Next season is going to be real fun, I cant wait to see how all the JVG haters eat their words. If all you guys think we are suddenly going to turn into some offensive juggernaut, you are in for a real shock. Aldeman is going to transform the Chuck Wagon into a potent passer and scorer, while Rafer is going to be able and run a team and shoot like Bibby. Boy I cant wait, we are going to be the reincarnation of the Show Time Lakers  .

Dude, the entire league wants a center who can give you 25 points from the low post. Yao shoots a high percentage, makes free throws and gets the ball to players who have good looks. The inside-outside game works. Why wouldn't you want the skilled 7'5" guy closer to the basket with this personnel?

I definitely agree with the thread title.

I think the Rockets had a window to win it all with T-Mac and Yao. And I think it's gone now.

It's because the owner of this team, Les, is more interested in marketing, revenue, instead of basketball.

Yao will be able to play a more uptempo type of game but in spurts of no more than 6mins at a time and the last minute of each qtr.
Yao, when fit, has no problem with speedy moves just stamina problems from playing at a fast pace. Stamina is a thing that can be improved with the correct coaching.

For sure it's true. JVG had Yao playing a game that was not natural for him.
ie the stick near the paint.

Are you crazy? You want Yao to play on the perimeter?
