I fully trust that the rockets front office and coaching staff see how much of an impact he is to this team, they will not be cheap so to speak. They better not

nah. dm is gonna lowball him the way he did landry.

here's hoping a team actually offers scola acontract that he deserves and dm matches that. otherwise, scola would probably just get the same amount lowry just got or even lower.

    1 EUR = 1.2815 USD

    http://www.google.com/finance?hl=en&q=CURRENCY:EURUSD

    4M EUR = 5.12M USD

So no; Europe is not a threat. Thanks for trying.

We can't lose Luis, he is a good role model for Jordan Hill and Patrick Patterson. I think Luis can teach those guys a lot.

One thing I love about Luis is that he is like a Rock of consistency, he plays every game, he plays hard every game, he is the sort of guy you want on your team to show the young guys how its done.

If the nets offer 9-10 million Rockets should match

the euro contracts are usually net income... meaning after tax and all other craps that they away from your salary. so they are actually worth alot more than it seems.

As someone pointed out, I believe the euro numbers posted are after tax numbers, so the person's salary is actually more than 4 mill euro, but 4 mill euro is his actual take home pay after taxes are collected.

Scola was underpaid for 3 years at 3 mill per year, so it's time he gets paid what he's worth.

Morey wants to treat everybody equally which means waiting for teams to set Scola's fair market value. However, I really believe he should make an exception in this case.

As you put it, Scola has been underpaid for the last 3 years. I would say he has been severely underpaid compared to his level of performance. Not too many 16 and 9 players getting paid "only" $3M/year.

Morey could use that excuse to fairly negotiate a new contract, say starting at $8M/year and see if Scola bites. He does not look like a greedy person and he likes the Rockets, so he may be pleased with that number.

Morey, pay the man. More than anybody else for the past few years, Scola has bled red and I would hate to see him go elsewhere.

I like that Lowry got paid now as a fan I only hope that Scola gets paid as well. No one has earned his paycheck as a rocket more than Luis. Give him 35 mil for 4 years.

He will not decline because all he does is run, he doesnt jump up and down all the time.

    Exactly!!
And if they'd do a little more research... they'd see that 20/10 perfromance... wasn't a lucky strike only...if they compare the 08-09 season and playoff performance, compared the minutes he played,

...and his limited minutes in the past weren't because he wasn't good enough, it was because there were many good inside players to share the minutes....

When given enough minutes, he only showed that his performance per minute was not diminished, giving a solid 20/10 performance...and a lot of intengibles not seen at boxscores....

Does Les or Morey have a tweeter account?

Fans should make a petition for signing Scola.

He was a rookie. Durant and Lebron made only a little more during their rookie contract.
