One Question, how tough are we. Because, they will put Artest on Kmart if he starts going off and leave Kobe to rest while holding Battier or Ariza.

There bench of Odom, Vujachick, Barnes, Ratliff, Blake, Brown is not better than Miller, JH, Lowry, Bud, and Battier. Odom is the only one who can give us fits on the Lakers 2nd unit.

Yao > Bynum (both coming off injuries, Bynum more severe)
Scola < Gasol (however, Gasol has no wing D whatsoever, slow 1st/2nd step)
Ariza = Artest (Artest will try to bully Ariza and get him out his game, however, Ariza has too much length for Crazy Pills)
Martin < Kobe (Black Mamba will have to play D, unless he switches to Ariza)
Brooks > Fisher or Blake (AB kills both of them at will, eats Black alive)

    Bench:
    Miller > Ratliff
    JH < Odom
    Battier > Barnes
Bud > Vujachick or Brown (Bud will need to play D on Brown because of his quickness
Lowry > Fisher or Blake (Owns them, but they will let him have the jumper)

We can play with these boys anytime anywhere. Plus Crazy Pills will not give it his all since he has a ring. Too focused on his rap career and puting sideline reporter noses in his armpits.

What does Dennis Scott think about what is needed to make 1 out of 4 free throws in the clutch? Confidence?

Answer: Any member of the NBA since the beginning minus Nick Anderson.

Good post. I would just add that our bench will be so good it might even beat our starters.

If anything, Morey's reluctance to make some trades (allegedly because other teams were asking too much from us) in the past few months, is an indication of how he feels about most our players. This group has a nice combination of veterans and young guys.

My prediction: we will be top 4 in the west for three reasons: our core group of players have had some experience playing together; the addition of Yao, Miller and PP will be the difference maker in making us go from an average team to a top team; finally, there will be significant changes in both the west and east conferences where most teams will be significantly weakened whereas we definitely improved.
