We have a few excellent threads with strong Membership participation that discuss different trade scenarios with other teams in detail.

Why some Members think that various analysis & opinion pieces from Outsiders are superior to what is created & developed inside this Community and deserve their own threads is a frustrating mystery to me.

If that ever happens, Rockets fans might as well give up all hope in constructing a winning team...

I think this is the best offer I've heard so far. Granger is becoming a top 5 SG imo in the league and even though Murphy is overpriced, he's a very good player and relatively young (he's 29). We'd be getting 2 potential starters, and one possible superstar. My thinking is Indiana would ask for a young piece from us, maybe a Scola or Brooks....

Out of all three teams, and the Bucks, I would be most interested in what NJ has to offer.

I know they want to hang tight to their "core" people, but I would trade a core player from the Rockets for Brook Lopez.

    TMac + Landry/Scola/Brooks for Lee/CDR + Lopez.

Lopez will be a 20/10 guy (right now, 18.6/9.6) soon; he and Yao could play 20 and 28 minutes a game, respectively.

the numbers won't add up. Would need another team to help facilitate. Those 3 players make a combined salary of $4.2 mil

#1 - McClane decides to cut team payroll by 48%, while claiming to still put a team on the court that is competitive enough to reach the playoffs.

#2 - Team trades Yao Ming to the New York Knicks for 2nd Round Draft Pick in 2011 with Eddy Curry and Jared Jefferies. ESPN Trade Machine (This trade is successful)
    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=m87yqn

#3 - McClane simply lets T-Mac walk (gains $22.8 million in salary cap space)

#4 - Luis Scola becomes a Free Agent and signs with the Miami Heat. Scola is only offered $8.1 million a year by the Heat (Drayton said it was $4 million too high)

#5 - Chuck Hayes resigns with the Rockets for a similar amount to his first about $3 million a year.

#6 - Team trades Shane Battier and Kyle Lowry to the New Jersey Nets for Rafer Alston, Chris Douglas Roberts (sign and trade), and Sean Williams (sign and trade). http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yg9s6wu

#7 - Daryl Morey resigns as Rockets GM, after tumultuous disputes about the McClane's questionable acquisitions and bitter disagreements of the team's draft selections.

#8 - Rick Adelman resigns as Rockets Head Coach, see #7

#9 - Houston Rockets sign Lawrence Frank as Head Coach

Hey one of those sorts of deals would work, too with Yao Ming, involved

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ygcmen2

Yao Ming for Tyler Hansbrough, Troy Murphy, and Travis Diener.

Besides, Yao Ming is injury prone and overrated anyway, according to some of the posters on this board.

We'd be getting 3 fairly healthy players.

That is, hands down, the dumbest thing I've ever read that was called an article.

Super informative rumor!!!!!!!!! Crap, I think they did miss the fact that Washington was in the "T-Mac Running" but we only wanted Agent Zero's guns and a 83rd round draft pick for him. F that Bleacher Report poop! I say we trade anyone for Matt Maloney!

the Rockets are in town an' that, Hakeem Olajuwon? Ohhh--he's got a real attitude. - Kramer

Not to derail the topic, but Drayton has been a half decent owner putting a winning product on the field for years with numerous playoff appearances, including a World Series appearance. Granted, he is a meddlesome owner at times, but he's been the best owner of the Astros the club had ever had. The racist stuff about white guys is also terribly overblown. I suppose if you're Venezualan, Panamanian or Hispanic you must be a whitey, becuase the Astors have always had a strong repesentation of non-whites throughout their organization.

Clutch, if you are going to allow this kinda crap, just hire me to write for ya and will cut the middle man out. I could then do the 1560 show with you and sneak my own commercials in on the air. Give it some consideration and let me know. I won't charge much.
