Bleacher Report thinks we'll need to part ways with Chandler Parsons in order to make the Dwight Howard thing happen.

How do they figure this? Even in a S&T, I don't think we'd have to give him up.

Here's an excerpt from the article on BR:

"Much talk regarding the Rockets' offseason has been set to the tune of bringing in Dwight Howard. Whether or not Morey can ink the big fella remains to be seen. Completing such a signing would likely involve parting ways with rising small forward Chandler Parsons."

They also give us these 3 guys as our best options:

    1) Tony Snell
    2) CJ Leslie
    3) Mike Muscala

Yeah, I thought we weren't posting articles from b/r.

They really just throw that Parsons stuff out there without any explanation... Because it's not like he hasn't been documented as the biggest Rockets recruiter to get Howard to Houston or anything...

I did not click the link, i do not want to give such a crappy website more hits. Why on earth do they feel we have to part ways with Parsons? i really see no reason for losing Parsons.

Not that i'm taking the article serious.

But what if the situation was, rockets and clippers are in a bidding war for dwight. Clippers obviously have a better package with Griffen being offered. The lakers though, awould be willing to trade dwight to houston for a lesser deal because of there rivalry.

Lets say the package has to involve Parsons, Jones, Motiejunas and multiple future first RD picks and possibly Asik, maybe not for cap space reasons. Would you do it? Or would you dare the lakers to trade with there rival, in hopes of them just letting dwight walk?

If that was the scenario for me, by by to parsons.

I wouldn't do that. We wouldn't have a starting 4 and no.. Winnebago will not be our starting PF.

Dwight's a free agent. There is no bidding war.

There is no bidding war. Dwight decides where he wants to go and he goes there. He is a free agent and chooses his destination. If the team he chooses decided to do a sign and trade with the Lakers, that's entirely up to them.

I don't see them doing a S&T with anyone, they want Dwight or they are going to take their chances with Lebron and company in 2014
