Seriously, Bleacher Report? Unplayable, like EVER, at any point in the postseason? There's no possible way we could benefit from his offense while minimizing his defensive issues, even for short periods of time?

That's got to be the stupidest line I've read in a month full of utter ignorance.

OKC had a top10 defense with Melo playing. It is possible.

Dude you can’t say that in these parts. Are you trying to get banned or something?

no one even mentioned luc as an important signing last summer. no one mentioned him as a key injury in the WCF. but as soon as he's gone he's a big loss.

these write ups mean nothing lol.

I don't think much of bleacher report (though they have gotten a lot better). But I'd give Houston a B- too. No reason not to sign Luc back. And we didn't replace the big loss on defense. I think we are worse right now going into the season than last year, even with Melo.

We won’t be able to evaluate the decision not to use the remainder of our MLE on LMM until the end of the buyout period following the trade deadline. It’s too presumptuous at this point to say that we should have blown it all on Luc if there was a chance somebody more useful could be available later in the season. On Zach Lowe’s podcast he brought up Demarre Carroll as a possibility. Funny thing, I can remember way back when when Morey brought Carroll in for a tryout and he ended up being the last man waived at the end of training camp. Ditto Robert Covington, Garrett Temple. (Jeremy Lin). Morey sure can find talent at the back end of the bench.

Not bad, considering everyone else is dumping on the Rockets

I agree with you. Im just concerned about our defense. The clint signung was a home run.

And thats a striking list. He really us the master of thevback of the drsft and undf

I do think the grading was a bit premature at this point. However I see why they did it. There just not that many FA out there anymore.

I still see adding Melo at 2.4 mil is a steal for us, unless there are attachments along with his signing. Those would be guarantee minutes and starting position.

Starting role I can live with it but if it's guarantee mins I have more of an issue. Unless, he's willing to lead the second unit.

What was the offseason grade again when Morey hired MDA?

All these graders never learn during midseason everybody should give them crap about their Rockers grades.

You shouldn't use regular season data against the Warriors in the playoffs.

Look at the series against GSW in the playoffs, the defense was ok but offense was so bad MDA put in Ryan "scrub" Anderson hoping for a miracle.

In the playoffs we need somebody who can get off his own shot Melo would help with that.

If memory serves....Rockets moved from 6th to 3rd at the All Star break when PJ was put in paired with Ariza. They were 6th with Anderson/Ariza.

Rondo went insane with 21 assists in their only win vs the Warriors, not to mention his hounding of Curry and ability to switch. NOLA got worse against GSW by losing Rondo. imo, they got worse against us, too.

Don't speculate on whether Rondo could do that again; fact remains, they get swept without him.

As for SAS, there is no comparison to their 61 team with Kawhi. I wasn't comparing to last year. I was comparing to the return of Kawhi. We have a much better matchup with DeRezon on that team than Kawhi.

Spurs I never count out. I feel like they drafted well, added some nice young pieces with pops coaching they won’t beat any of the top 3 teams but they’ll be good
