Well, in fairness to this kid ...if his prediction is that Yao, TMac and Rafer will get hurt for a significant amount of time, then the Rockets likely won't make the playoffs.

If Paul Pierce and Garnett are walking to Starbucks and get hit by a Mac truck during preseason, then the Celtics won't make it to the playoffs either.

Barring injurings, the Rockets will AGAIN vie for homecourt advantage.

    1 star thread.

What's sad is that while everyone is making fun of his age, this is about as competently written and informed as much of what we'll see from experienced professional writers and ESPN talking heads.

I said he was a good writer... just didn't necessarily know what he was talking about... hmmm now that I think about it you are absolutely right. That's about what we get from most of the talking heads isn't it.

    /thread.

Beside Portland is being hyped up like crazy. A bunch of talented and largely untested youngsters won't just dominate the west.

Honestly, Portland is too deep, they might not to put all the good players on the court at the same, while their best group isn't as good as some of the powerhouses.

He isn't really a great writer, especially if English is his primary language. In fact, you can find misplaced periods where commas should be. Also, search how many times he used, "not to mention." I believe it's about 6-10times.

He may be 17 but if English is his primary language, this isn't anything special.

File under: "Why are we commenting on this garbage?" Forget that he's 17 and has drank the Clippers kool-aid. A preview for the 08-09 season when the free agent signing period hasn't even begun is pretty stupid. No star thread.

exxxxactly, i love this article, i love when people have the worst expectations for the rockets, i love when people think we can't win, i love being the underdog, when you play as the underdog you have somewhat of an advantage, you arent expected to win so you don't feel as much pressure, and with the amt of talent we have we can still beat any team, so let them think we can't win, please let them all think we can't win, actions speak louder than words my friends, which is why we are going to kick some serious ass this year!

My name is Patrick and I am excited to see Wall E. I watch basketball on my dads lap. He sure does drink a lot during the game. Maybe if the Bulls end up in the playoffs, he will sober up. My gosh, Portland has Greg Oden. He will surely dominate the NBA. He is the most polished offensive player to ever enter the NBA. The Sonics are moving to Puerto Rico. I sure hope they let Kevin Durant stay black. I poopy in my pants.

This article is crap, crap crap.
