Yeah I'm not sure what went on there at Duke but those numbers for that height and weight is....off the charts to say the least. I wouldn't want to throw my 16th out there for him but I wouldn't be surprised to see Morey buy a pick for this guy. Why the hell not? It's not like he is lazy or a headcase....just looks like he never could put it together well enough to see the floor as much as one would expect. I wouldn't hedge my bets on him being the guy, but if all hell breaks loose. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Houston.

If the Rockets could get away with trading Lowry alone for that 6th pick, then they should focus their time and assets on going after that #2 from Charlotte.

Probably should be in the random trade thread but I thought its worth throwing in this thread just as a reminder of other possibilities-

Here's a thought just to throw out there- Lets start thinking about maybe a trade involving Lowry going to a team that does not have a lottery pick this year for a future top 3 protected pick.

You look around the NBA and there are alot of teams that made the playoffs this year that could really use Lowry next season. I keep thinking Dallas as a potential sleeper even if they still plan on pursuing D-Will they might want to lock up Lowry as a PG that can fit in their rotation either way.

Also they are a team where the wheels could fall off the wagon very easily, and become a lotto team if they miss out on D-Will and Dirk starts to drastically decline more and more.

Just a thought. I know that everyone is just assuming Portland's #6 is the one and only choice, but I think we are all forgetting the value of future lottery unprotected picks, and the massive trade value they have on the market. Its just predicting what teams could potentially be bad enough to get a high lotto pick that is the problem.

Only Barnes is worth it in this list. Drummond and Perry have low motor, and Meyers is not good enough IMO for giving up Lowry, let alone giving up the 14th along with him.

The 14th pick is nothing and Morey can always find more guards. Meyers can anchor the middle for the next dozen years.

Or he could be out of the league in 2 years.

I don't think it is as easy as always finding more guards. If it was the the Rockets might have had more than 2 all-star guards over the last 30 years (Clyde, Francis). Doesn't make it any easier to find big men, just pointing out that if a player is better, then he is better...

I like this, er, Lowry for #6 or Lowry and our 2 picks for their 2 picks.

I'm up for trading Lowry to Portland for the sixth pick, not sure I'm on board with that pick being Drummond. It depends who is left on the board at #6 though.
