Blazers announcers are disgusting

I actually think Mike Rice can be funny at times, and him being a former coach, adds alot to the game. He's a homer for sure, but he also praises opposing players as well. I guess it helps that I was a fan of the jailblazers, and still like Portland as my 2nd team in the west, if the Rockets aren't in the playoffs.

Now the other guy Mike Barrett is not bad at his job, but he's an a-hole. I can't stand announcers who talk over the color guys and try to add their two-cents about strategy. He's on the same level as Bob Fitzgerald of the Warrriors, and Mike Tirico, always interrupting and adding nonsense.

 

I have to admit, listening to the Blazers crew on Saturday night I was getting annoyed by their commentary. Pretty one sided.

To be fair, there were several blatent bad calls against the Blazers that night they didn't complain too heavily about.

This is my first year with League Pass. I'm used to listening to Bull and Worrell on the road games. I miss em.

 

They are human excrement, and hell yes, Bill is one of the best in the business, and we're damned lucky to have him. All Bill needs is Murph sitting next to him.

The whole game these guys were basically complaining about how other players/teams complain to the refs.

 

It was no better today they actually started saying stuff like:

"And that's how Harden averages the most FTs in the league, just fall down."

"Wes always shuts Harden down when it counts, remember in 09 when he was in OKC" then the other guys says "heck I remember last year in the playoffs too."

Then they make up random things as if they know and research this

"This is the time Harden is looking to get fouled he doesn't want to take the shot"

"I told you Josh Smith likes to throw the ball away sometimes."

SMH, Blazers fans must hate these guys too.

Mike and Mike can both suck a big fat D.

They take homerism to another level. Even fans here in Portland know that.

 

Also that last and1 by Dmo they both started complaining about how Lopez had a clean block and how they Refs were being one sided. Then they saw the replay and both said Oh. Well?

 

Said it before, I'll say it again - Rockets fans should not be complaining about anybody's announcers. It's also rather lame that this is how some of you guys cope with a loss - go after their announcers.

 

Do they? The ones I talk to here treat them like a font of knowledge.

 

Im okay with the loss. We beat them with out Aldridge naturally they beat us without Dwight.

 

How could we cool ourselves up a little?

And this somehow surprises you? They're Blazer fans broadcasting for the Blazers against a rival. How dare they! And you would've been completely objective.

Bill and Bull actually are not allergic to commenting on when the Rockets do something hideous / if a call benefits the Rockets which they believe shouldn't have.

The Blazers announcers are by far the worst in the league. Because they are BOTH identical in that everything is against Portland 100% of the time. They will also never (at least from what I've heard) acknowledge when they benefit from things they shouldn't.

Heaven forbid someone gets the treatment in the post AGAINST them that LMA gets on a nightly basis.

 

I doesn't surprise me it irritates me when that's the only option I havet o watch the games i turned down the volume for a bit.

 

Rocket's announcers are homers but they give the opposing team's players plenty of respect.
