HELL YES. I was so worried they were going to get someone actually decent like McBOB that would help them, but this is great and an overpay.

First really good news for the Rockets of the offseason. Playoff rival wastes $5m on a third string center.

Lakers made a $100M profit for sucking last season. They can blow it on Parsons just because they can :(

Can't see how this is a bad signing... Its basically a 1yr deal for 4.8 million for a back up center, which the blazers sorely needed. They didn't have cap space for any big name players nor did they have a bigger need.

Kaman is still 10 and 6, even in limited minutes. He's genuinely 'large', can rebound, and finish.

Fairly poor defender, but will provide them something off the bench.

People here think almost every signing is bad.

Not that bad of a signing considering the 1 mil guarantee next year.

They spent $5m on a guy who can't defend worth a lick, scores most of his points with his illusory post game which involves frequent turnovers and never getting to the line, and he's coming off a smaller contract. Money would've been better spent on a competent backup PG IMO.

I think it's a great signing. Kaman has a post game and takes up space. He wasn't utilized in LA but he is def one of the better older centers in the league. A few years ago he was an all star and he hasn't really had too many big injuries so I think he should be ok. What's going on with Lopez?

Dwight will feast on Kaman and Lopez many times next season.

Their center rotation will only cost them ~$11mill next year. That's not such a bad situation

This seems like a low-upside move. Kaman can basically play one position. He doesn't really bring defense, so he's not really covering up any of their needs. He's your typical depth.

I'd prefer the Rockets go after Llul or Papas from their own Euro pipeline than using the MLE on players like Kamen. Neither the Rockets nor the Blazers are set. There's a lot of room for growth.

I thought the Blazers were all in on Spencer Hawes. Wonder after the big fish have found homes, if DM will go after Spencer.
