Oh, I think the Blazers players are all working toward a common goal, or even two common goals: Boosting their individual stats. Cashing their oversized paychecks. [/list=1]
I think Rasheed's "talent" is overrated. Yes, he is perhaps among the top 5-7Fs in talent. But even with the coolest head in the world, I am sorry the guy would not be as good as KG, Webber, Duncan or Malone (a few years back). His talent perhaps is in the Brand- McDyess-Coleman talent class-- the all-star but not HoF potential. At least even he got more out of his talent than the last fellow has. As for Quitten, I would not be surprised if he goes to the bench. Wells, Anderson and Wallace are just better players than him now and have to be on the floor. Unless they play DA or Pip at the 1, there is no room for Quitten on the court. Further, the guy they got from Seattle can also pretty much do what Quitten does at the SF spot and plays with more intensity. Pippen's salary and the egg-on-the-front-office's-face are the only thing keeping his minutes up.
Wow thats like thats so off. Okay i am not even gonna bother. You clearly don't see that he has like the best shot of any power forward in the league. The best post up moves and some solid defense. And Mo Taylor is the 2nd best power forward.
I assume you and the thread are a joke but I want to respond anyway. Bill Laimbeer and Sabonis could hit the 3 better than Sheed, does that make them the best bigmen over the last 20 years? No. What Sheed deosn't have IN TALENT that Webber and KG have is guard-like court vision and handles. No matter how hard Sheed worked and focused I don't believe he could aquire it at their level. What Sheed doesn't have what Malone (had) and Duncan have is an unflappably consistent inside game built on natural strength and a natural touch. Sheed's talent would allow him to be an out-standing all around player, but not the dominant force HoF caliber player no matter how he prepares or keeps his heads on strait. I think those annoucers and fans who think it is ONLY his head that keeps him from being at HoF level are misguided and actually putting unfair expectactions on that egg head.
4 and 4. While its not a winning record, its a good start for the Blazers. Wallace and Wellz had monster games, that is a one 2 punch that no one can contend with. While everyone thought Kobe and Shaq were hott stuff, I think they have some competition. The Blazers have something the Lakers don't have the experience of Pippen. I will post again later guys, don't worry.
