It wasn't Jake O'Donnell because he hated Clyde Drexler for his speech impediment. There were bad calls but the rockets choked.

Points at the last push in regulation and the last whistle of the game the nba apologized for.

    Why cant it be both?

Yeah right even the NBA admits the refer's were wrong:

NEW YORK (AP) -- The NBA says the call that resulted in Houston's Dwight Howard fouling out Sunday was incorrect. Instead, the All-Star center should have received two free throws that could have given the Rockets the lead.

Howard was called for his sixth foul with 10.8 seconds left in overtime while trying to get the rebound of James Harden's missed 3-pointer. Portland's Joel Freeland made one free throw, the final point in the Trail Blazers' 122-120 victory.

Not even close? The nba apologized for the last whistle. At least review it.

Would the rockets have choked if they called the foul for harden or made the right call according to the nba at the end of overtime? How do you know dwight would have choked and missed both?

The six foul against Robin Lopez was a game changer too. The Rockets didn't have the killer instinct to put the game away. It left the game open and they choked. It's not worth obsessing over the officiating.

As much as I hate blaming refs for loses, I have to say this game stunk of ref manipulation.

If you watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_s1S1CEBTY you will see a whole lot of really dumb mistakes on our part but you will also see that most of the bad calls that were made were made by Scott Foster...you know who Scott Foster is? Let me remind you...

    http://deadspin.com/5025811/big-money-undefeated-in-7-of-7-nba-games-reffed-by-scott-foster

So, yeah, I think it was a fixed game...is there anything we can do about it? No. Did we play dumb enough to lose anyways? Yes.

Best we can do is move on and hope it doesn't happen again.

No I can't stand those idiots.
Both Lopez and Aldridge fouled out. If the game was rigged that wouldn't of happened. This is delusional there's no case.

Dwight howard and james harden draw the most fouls in the league. This is the playoffs and everyone is aggressive. You are surprised aldridge and lopez fouled out in an overtime game? Im done with you.

scott foster has a history of being involved in crooked games. if you are going to look past it, then you're just being naive

i blame the NBA and refs for creating a terrible environment for basketball. it was terribly called for both teams. this is not fun basketball to watch. too many minor fouls called. questionable techs. let them play the game. the refs shouldn't be trying to set the tone by trying to limit the physicality of the game.

What made it a badly reffed game was that sometimes they'd call ticky-tack fouls, then other times they'd completely ignore when a guy gets mauled. And on top of that, they had several calls where a player wasn't even really touched and they would call a foul. And other times they'd call fouls on the wrong person. Then on top of all of that, they were not being consistent in calling technical fouls.

It was like, wtf were they watching? It was almost as if the calls were just random and they weren't actually seeing anything at all.

0 free throws for the Rockets in the first half when they shoot the most free throws in the league. It's like the refs did that on purpose to send a message that they are in charge and you can't bank on the fact that we'll bail you out like in the regular season.

It was one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a while.

The refs have been terrible all season, I even started a thread about it a while ago:
    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=249618&page=3

They were terrible, and in this case it was worse for us than it was for the Blazers. Would we have won if the refs were better maybe.

That being said, we lost because we choked and LA played amazing (that fade away desperation three in OT wow). I do not blame the refs (since they have been terrible all season), You know that refs can make terrible calls, but if we had just played better the refs would not have been able to make such an impact.

I hope the next commish goes back to the more physical style of ball, it really is better basketball. There are too many judgment calls available for refs to call.

So a ref with HISTORY of robbing teams of ball games (in which he's undefeated in Vegas:rolleyes:) makes 5 phantom calls including one that was a deciding factor against Howard and we're the delusional ones for thinkin it was rigged?

    God bless my ignorant friend:)

And I'm convinced these big POS refs are no better than the last ones.

I would like to see a list of all the bad calls in this series. After listing them, I would cut out about a third of them to offset the calls the Rockets have received, and probably shouldn't have.

    1) Mo Williams does his best Michael Finley impression - not reviewed
    2) Dwight stripped by LA - not reviewed
    3) Harden fouled on the 3 point attempt - no call
    4) Game 4 technical on Dwight
    5) Game 1(?) technical on Beverley for clapping, then no technical on LA when he attacks the ref
    6) Freeland bear hugs Dwight, but Dwight gets the foul, his 6th
    7) Matthews flop at the end of game 4, resulting in a foul on Dwight, and 2 free throws for Matthews
    8) Beverley intentionally fouls Batum on a fast break - no call
    9) Constant ticky tack fouls for breathing on LA, but we get hacked and no call (the no call at the end of the game when Harden was hacked by numerous players, including LA (who got credit for "blocking" it), and got no call)

I know I'm missing others. There's been that many.
