I think Barnes is the dirtiest and least deserving player in the NBA and I think that is coming back to him. Which ever team he goes to, they seem to choke. So look out, and I think (and hope) the same thing can be said about LeBron James. Just my thoughts.
They were the 8th seeded team losing in the 2nd round isn't choking. Name the teams that Matt Barnes has caused to choke please.
I would say the Magic choked in the Finals, and now the Lakers as well. But what I meant was that because of the way Barnes is, his team never wins anything. And are you defending him?
Yeah I'm defending that he didn't cause a team to choke. You bring up the Magic against the Lakers. A) The Lakers were the favorites B) Orlando didn't choke that series away.
Ok, I posted the wrong idea. I wanted to know everybody's thoughts on Barnes. Are you happy that he is not going to win? How dirty is he? Do you think he ever deserves to win anything?
There are obviously bigger, other factors, but I agree with you. Barnes is an overrated defender and simply not a winning player. He plays dirty and dumb. I felt like the Lakers time window was slowry expiring before the Lakers signed Barnes, but when they did - as dumb as it may sound - I was fully convinced they weren't going to three-peat. He's just a role player, but you don't win with a guy like him in your regular roation.
He, along with several other Lakers, have had so many mental lapses on defense. How do you continually leave a sharp shooter like Peja, AND arguably the best offensive player in the playoffs so far in Dirk wide open so many times?!
