Yeah it is, I'm happy he's a quality team. I miss the Mandry. Hope he sucks though when we play against him though xD
Now I'm imagining how good a Lin or Harden pick and roll with Mandry would be. The rolls to the basket for dunks, the 15 foot jumpers, the post ups. The only thing Mandry is missing is the defense.
that's just too much work to sell a flop. i don't think it's worth the 2 freebies when you can get hurt, at least not in a regular season game.
I watched him live against the 76ers last week- it was great to see him again, and he's a great influence on the team. He settles them down and had a solid stretch where he kept getting fouled going hard to the rim. Plays hard and the fans up there love him for it.
Griffin was figured a long time ago. All you have to do is put a physical body on him all the time and not provide him any space. He can not create on his own.
Are people in this thread r****ded, or do they just not realize that when you launch yourself with all your energy from 5+ feet away towards a 10+ feet high object and someone grabs you and spins you around you're going to fall, and probably hard? Look, I'm not a huge Blake Griffin fan. I don't think his athleticism has been figured out... but his jumpshot had been for quite a while. Amare had the same problem early in his career, but he developed some nice moves and shots eventually... but not nice enough. Griffin is annoying, and made more so given the cast he's surrounded with - Jordan, CP3, etc. Individually they are all ok, and I'd love any of them on the Rockets, but the whole "Lob City" thing is definitely dumb. The 3 point shot attempt, now that's hilarious. Anyways, here's a video of the foul. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/U-ahOjNcLrw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
He was pretty pathetic in last night's game. Most of the time he was just chilling out there, not attacking, not rebounding, not defending, just walking around. Reminds of old Tmac.
Look at JayZ750's clip that shows the full play. Blake clearly got grabbed as he launched into the air.
The opponent barely grabs Blake's arm and his momentum caused him to launch his feet up in the air higher than David Lee? There's a reason why even Blake's teammate don't retaliate or even make a big deal out of the situation. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nq62B97kbTI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Just search youtube there's plenty of evidence of Blake exaggerating contact.
He's playing better defense than last year, and that's been a big part of the Clippers' success, so even though his numbers are down a bit I wouldn't take that at face value. I think he's actually a better player than he was last season.
