people said the same thing about Oden. I still think Wall will win ROY, or there may be a tie like Francis/Brand. But if you're injured your real rookie season then I think you should forfeit any rights to any future ROY awards. What if he only played one game and then got injured during that game with monster stats? Will he be eligible the next season as a rookie? Doesn't make too much sense to me. He's been training with NBA staff for 1 year longer than the other rooks despite never having set foot in a real game.
It's amazing how a couple of weeks ago almost nobody was talking about Griffin but now people can't stop talking about him. The guy has a special dedication to basketball and improving himself that you almost never see in very young players. His focus and work-ethic are almost maniacal. He will be a special player if injuries don't take him down.
it's not that oden is a bust, on a per minute basis, he's actually quite good....one the more efficient players in the game. oden is still young too.......they just have to hope he stays healthy........which is hard when he has a history of injuries.....but there are anomalies.....look at amare and grant hill....
Amare and Grant Hill were relatively healthy early on in their career. Oden is a Sam Bowie, except Sam Bowen played a near full season in his rookie year. Oden could potentially be the biggest draft bust ever, but it's not his fault. Oden just needs to stay healthy for one full season.
hmmmm....where were all you Griffin fans when I was saying the same thing during summer league last year? Lmao. Griffin already has the best perimeter skills of any big in the L if you don't count KD/Dirk as traditional bigs. Nothing on the court that he can't do
