Blake Griffin is a more improved defensive and rebounding version of Amare .. But he wont win ROY because he has so many options around him .. Wall has options too but he has the ball in his hands
Wall couldn't even get those crazy numbers in college. Why would you expect that in his rookie year? You must have confused him for LeBron James or Magic Johnson.
Considering he has yet to play in a regular season game, blistering deserved... (How do I get this guy on my fantasy team?)
I think Blake will win it too. I believe that if he wasn't injured last year he would have been on the All star team his rookie year. He has the character, athleticism (SO much more pre-injury) to get himself recognized, he will put up good numbers, and he will help the Clippers get more wins this year. I do not think he will get the the All Star game this year but will win ROY.
Some people can not extrapolate as to what type of player he will be, I have no problem doing that..... Sometimes I miss though...lol. Marcus Fizer was my biggest miss.....I thought he would be a stud, too bad his work ethic was not as strong as his body was... DD
My ROY pick this year has always been Griffin, not Wall or anyone else. Good to see I could be correct!
I predict that regardless of stats, if either of these guys stays healthy and is able to lead their respectively terrible teams from last year to a potential playoff team, then they will be ROY. I still have doubts that Griffin can stay healthy for a full season so I would say the edge would have to go to Wall right now, but we are only in the first week of the preseason so this conversation is pointless right now anyways. They are both very very good players and have great potential for long careers in the NBA. They will just have to move to their next team to reach that potential.
Well a lot of the lottery big men would have been HOFs if only there healthy. Yao, Oden, Bynum and Griffin could have all been HOF bound if they were healthy every season, just based on the way they played when they were heatlhy. With that said, Griffin is the legitimate succesor to Tim Duncan. IF his injury woes are behind him you're looking at a strong contender to TD's GOAT PF title.
aw man has he really declined athletically already??? I hate to see that happen to people so young and I really wanted to see griffin posterize some cats in the league first could he regain his explosiveness perhaps?
Another solid game from Griffin even though his team got curbstomped. 23 pts, 9 rebs, 4 assists, 10-15 shooting He really needs to work on his free throw shooting though. Only 3-10 tonight from the charity stripe
