I just watched my first Clipper game of the year, the Spurs v Clippers. The thing that amazes me about Blake Griffin is that you literally can't look away from the TV when he is on the offensive end of the floor. You never know when he'll get a sick alley oop or make a sweet post move which leaves the announcers and the crowd oohing and ahhing. He passes the eye test, he looks as much a budding superstar as anyone in the NBA today.
To answer a poster's question from earlier, Griffin has a ways to go on the defensive end. Definitely, his offense far surpasses the defense at this stage (which is typical for early lottery picks). I do think that with his quickness, strength, work ethic, and general court awareness, he should be a good defender in time.
I am still amazed with his Dunks. He makes it so easy. I almost feel like he is even a bigger nature freak than LeBron is.
I see him as a rich man's Lamar Odom. His versatility is pretty amazing when you get a chance to watch him. He can pass, dribble, post-up, defend multiple positions, shoot the ball, and his athleticism is the best in the league imo.
Reminds me of a smaller Amari Staoudimire in the early stages of his career...very aggressive with alot of energy and a highlight waiting to happen.
I've been watching more Clippers games this season than EVER! Blake Griffin along with Eric Gordon are fun team to watch..
One of my friends asked me this recently. Is Blake the best power forward in the league right now? Kind of hard to think of a better one.
He needs to develop a consistent mid range to outside jumper, then he will become a superstar. If he has that, he is unguardable!
