I didn't buy into the hype, but after watching his game, he is freaking good. I wished the Rockets had a player like him.

The thing with Wall and somewhat Griffin is they're just too much straight ahead brute ATHLETICISM where they make it look BLAND again. Same with Lebron. Half the time they don't need any real skill, wiggle, flair, craftiness or anything to get place to place. They go end to end just taking 3 dribbles and rising over people. Its DOMINANT but not "skillful looking".

But I was a big Shawn Kemp fan so I can't knock it too much.

Scola might be old, and might get dunked on a couple of times, but imo, he would take Griffin's money in a one on one game.

Blake Griffin is Landry-like in the way he creates mismatches.

I think you're out of your mind. Griffin would beat scola by 100 in a 1v1 game.

We have no one close to being as good as this guy and he's a rookie coming off a year without basketball! :(

If Griffin had a post move, that might be true...

All he has to do is spin around and him and dunk. He could do it all night on Scola.Scola wouldn't even be able to block it.

Scola will own Griffin and he doesn't even dunk, LOL... Scola has so many offensive weapons in his arsenal...

All Griffin has to do is face him up and drive around him. Scola can't contest shots at the rim, and he doesn't have the lateral quickness to say in front of Griffin.

Scola gets abused by Amare Stoudemire, who doesn't have a post game either. Same deal.

Pretty much sums it up. Scola struggles big time to defend against more athletic forwards.

Summer of 2013....The Rockets need to position themselves to go all-in after Blake Griffin.
