Good article. Just to add also that one big factor is size and generally size is an advantage in the NBA. Anyway dunks are great and entertaining but I would rather taken victories than posters.
This is a one star thread for sure? If you thought for even one second you'd realise that our starting bigs are Hayes and Scola - neither one known for dunking the ball at all. Most team dunks come from the 'big men' - ours are gravity challenged = no dunks. On the bright side we've scored the 5th most points per game in the league (almost 10 per game more than the hapless Clippers).
How does the whole contributing members thing work? I contributed multiple times, but it was back during that series against the Jazz that went to seven in 2007.... maybe it just got lost in the shuffle?
Not impressed. With the way he plays, Blake Griffin is one freakish accident away from a career ending injury.
Well if I were a Clips fan I'd be worried about Blake Griffin's career right now. 70 dunks and its not even halfway through the season. I wonder how long his knees will last before they give out? The clips have got to teach him post moves duncan style.
I don't understand why people are so high about dunking. It scores you 2 points anyway. Last time I check the Clippers are not winning many games.
Total 3 pointers made to this point in the season: Blake Griffin 2 Rockets 238 Haha! Suck it, Griffin!
This is random.... Rockets 14-15 and rising, Clippers 9-22 and sinking Dunks are only worth 2 points. Exciting for Sportscenter but doesn't win you games. He could finish with 500 dunks and we could never dunk again this season. I'd rather win. If Blake Griffin dunks and then takes a second to pose for the camera while his man runs down and hits a 3 off the fast break, what does that do for the score?
