Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine RT @BA_Turner: Blake Griffin has meniscus tear in left knee, to have surgery, will be ready for season, no Olympics:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>The LA Times' @<a href="https://twitter.com/BA_Turner">BA_Turner</a> reports that Griffin has a torn meniscus in that left knee.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/status/223617181705969665" data-datetime="2012-07-13T03:17:45+00:00">July 13, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Depends on how bad the tear is but you're talking about cartilage ripping which doesn't grow back naturally. Granted if its some tiny tear, he'll be fine.
Could be a huge influence on whether Paul will sign an extension there or not. No such thing as lob city if there's no one to lob to. Whether this is a minor surgery or not, this is another surgical procedure he's having, and will affect him mentally.
That sucks for Blake. At least he didn't destroy his knee like Rose. Rose might never be the same again.

Ouch, same knee that held him out year 1 -- meniscus injuries can be tricky. I wish him luck, but he is going to have to take the big dunks out of his game or he is going to blow one of his knees out completely.
