Forgot about CP3s rookie year, good call.

Don't think the by age is fair as Blake has only played one year while the guys you list, you were referring to their second/third years in the league.

Yeah Shaq's rookie year was beastly.

All I really said was, it is debatable. I do agree that all the guys you mentioned plus LeBron had a rookie year either on the same level or above (except Sabonis, still don't count him as he had a ton of professional experience).

Stats wise, his rookie year was close to that of TD (tho obviously TD being the far far superior defensive player and overall player). We haven't seen a rookie bigman like this in over a decade.

But just going strictly by rookie year isn't fair either. Blake's rookie year was after playing two years in college and sitting out a year training with NBA professionals. Lebron's rookie year was straight out of high school at age 19.

Still, one-two years of actual professional experience is greater than two years of college plus one year of rehabbing.

Perhaps, but that's why you need to look at BOTH rookie years and age. Everything has a context.

    Howard
    Durant

His rookie stats are awesome, but he has a ways to go before he is the best player post LBJ.

Howard's rookie year was not comparable to that of Blake's.

Durant is a good one but his rookie year was still nowhere near that of Blake's.

And re-read what I said. I said best rookie to enter SINCE LeBron. NEVER said his rookie year was better than that of LeBron's.

McGrady under 21's best season would be 99-00 where he put up 15/6/3 with not too impressive shooting numbers. I'd take Blake's. Although you could be talking about the next year when he was 21 in which case there's no question Tmac was better. Exact same case with Bosh. I won't make an argument for the other names.

Yep, I'm including seasons when they were 21. Blake turned 22 this March.

Ok well then I can't argue those two names. Especially McGrady's.

I would take Howard, Durant, or LBJ in a heart beat over Blake Griffin.

As a Clipper fan, i would take any of those player over Griffin.

i would do a Howard for Griffin and Kaman sign and trade in a heart beat....

Dwight Howard and Eric Gordon could be a championship 1-2 punch...

Atleast now we know Blake Griffin will suffer a career threatening injury, thanks to none other than our resident voodoo machine himself Mr. DD.
