And I used to like Blake Griffin. "I cannot respect a player who flops." --Hakeem Olajuwon (talking about Karl Malone, if I remember correctly) Of course, to avoid being a hypocrite, I must apply that to Martin and (particularly) Scola. A shame, but I have to. But regardless, he hit that floor so hard, that I thought he would hit the back of his head on the hardwood hard enough to give him a concussion or something. Which would have been poetic justice, a flopping player doing that to himself (even if he was one of my former favorites).
Man this guy just keeps doing what other players cant do. I never it thought it was possible to foul yourself until now. That was like a page out Fight Club where you see Edward Norton just going nuts punching and throwing himself. But Blake Griffin was in the air when punched himself. unreal
To each his own, I guess. I'm disgusted anytime Scola "sells a foul". The vast majority of time there is nothing to sell - it's an exaggeration of contact, i.e, a flop. The only good thing about flopping is when the flopper gets punked by conceding an easy bucket/losing the ball after a no-call, which, unfortunately, happens way too rarely.
Battier and Hayes took charges and sold legit fouls, but Scola and K-Mart have definitely been guilty of flopping before.
Don't think I have ever seen Scola or KMart flop to the ground that hard from that high up in the air. Dude could have seriously gotten hurt.
I've never seen a player intentional trying to give himself a concussion while flopping lmfao Blake is so hardcore, he hurled himself as hard as he could to the ground, he definitely made prowrestlers proud
Lol kinda reminds me of this- <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/SmT_28N4_Mo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Ok that's it, this guy is starting to become a real pain and I don't care if he gets a career-ending injury soon. What unsportsmanlike conduct, makes me want to spit. This is the most ridiculous sell of a foul I have ever seen. The ref is not at fault here because in the replay everybody sees it's fake and he knocks himself out, but when you see a guy go down like that you have to call for a foul. This has Hollywood written all over it and if I were Love I would have spat on him or kicked him while he was on the floor or take revenge later, try to injure him or something. Blake Griffin, you suck!
I'm not sure it's flopping, Griffin seems like he's not smart enough to consider the ramifications to his body, he threw himself at a weird angle because he was out of position and momentum did the rest.
If I was a player and someone got me to pick up a cheap foul by flopping, I'd Raja Bell him the next time down the court, he'd think twice before flopping again.
I feel like such a pioneer for hating Griffin even way before the fixed dunk contest. For some reason I just can't find myself to root for him, although he is pretty damn good.
