The nets are pretty loaded. I mean they have the big 3 + joe harris + the ring chasers they will sign.
The thing is, Harden can turn average or players that are past their prime into actual good players. Griffin only has to play decent and that'll be a good piece for the Nets.
Yeah. Spencer will most likely be traded for another wing player or another inside big. If the Nets are fully healthy, no team is beating them in a series. They're too strong on the offense.
I was talking about Barkley/Drexler/Olajuwon. I wouldn't call the Pippen Rockets team "super", though it was quite good. I think the 96-97 Rockets squad, though, had more than enough left in the tank to be considered pretty super. Especially with Kevin Willis also around. If only they had a serviceable PG, that team might have made a lil more noise. <sigh>
In a recent YouTube video, I saw that we almost got Derek Harper from the Mavs for Brent Price, but Price was injured as usual. Even another aged player like Harper might've gotten that 96-97 team over the hill, or at least past the Jazz.
If they got past the Jazz, I'm pretty sure they would have stomped those Bulls. But all we can do is speculate, of course.
I just want to throw this out because it's been annoying me since somebody said "yeah, they were similar..." Charles Barkley averaged under 10 rpg once in his career...8.6 his rookie year That 8.6 would be the 4th best rebounding year of Blake's career, iirc 80's kids remember this:
