Big Ben was hyped, would have gone 1st overall in this year's draft.

Rodgers had about as much hype as Carr does right now, but imagine if Carr was the best QB in this draft. Rodgers would probably go 2-5 in this year's draft.

Brees was short, people didn't like that, but he was supposed to be good. Had much more hype than Wilson did coming out. Actually underperformed considering expectations for much of his time in SD.

I think most felt the Dalton pick was a reach but definitely had upside. I thought he was going to suck.

Wilson went earlier than expected, but he always looked good, just short. If he was around today I think Manziel would go before him. Definitely Bridgewater. And I doubt he'd go as high as 3rd. I'd say his outlook would be 4th at best if available this year. I'm not sure scouts expected him to run any. He's the same speed as Tannehill who doesn't run.

Not sure on Kap. Good size, good arm - strange system.

Bortles was so unimpressive last night. He was throwing his short passes so hard you'd think his hot gf was on the other side of those drillers. He also dumped the ball off wayyyy too much. He reminds me of Flacco = not good.

Rick Smith will have a lot to say on the QB. I don't see him taking Bortles.

O'Brien did spend some time on one George O'Leary's coaching staff while O'Leary was the HC at Georgia Tech. The same George O'Leary who coaches Blake Bortles at UCF. I hope George doesn't pull a Fred Hoiberg on BO'B! We need to hit on this pick!!

Just looking at the poor selection of cut-ups they chose for their comparison, you would think Teddy B, was gonna be 10x the player Aaron Rodgers is! I don't think they made it very "apples to apples".

This Dane Bruglar is an idiot.

    Bortles is not going #1.

If BOB wants Bortles, it would be smart to trade down and get more picks. I think Teddy, Johnny, Clowney, Matthews, go before Bortles.

His college team ran exclusively spread option from the pistol formation.

The book was "needs lots of work with a high upside". Almost "poor man's Cam Newton". I saw some late first predictions but mostly 2nd-4th round leading up to that draft. IIRC, he had a good senior bowl. Also, the "small school" concern. He played a lot sooner that I expected, given what I'd heard before hand.

All the Bridgewater groupies need to wake up, this is the realistic choice for the future of franchise.

What's with all the people in love with Bortles? Just because he has size? Bridgewater is quicker, more accurate and smarter. And Bortles has what? an inch on him?

It all likelihood, they're both going to be terrible.

It's not the height but the weight. Bortles is at 230 lbs and I've heard scouts say they think Bridgewater was playing at under 200 lbs during the season.

But can't he simply just put on weight eventually?
