If you compare them purely prospects (something anybody with an IQ over 100 can understand) they are similar.

Both are slight in frame, both are mobile without running down field, both don't have big arms, both show tremendous accuracy/touch on tape, both were clutch performances in college.

Bortles is an unrefined Luck, a very unrefined Luck

Yeah, I don't really care what most of these guys say, it's what our coach is saying. Just sounds like we get to cheer for Bortles for the next 3 years then BOB's replacement will come in and say he thinks he can work with Bortles.....blah, blah.

Or he is the next freaking Brady and we are in contention for the SB for the next 12 years.

I would say there are similarities, but they aren't similar prospects.

    Both are male.

Both are about the same height

    Both are human.

    Both are QB's.

    Both went to college.

I mean in that kind of a sense it's accurate, but that's pretty much where the similarities stop.

Nope, he doesn't, is that a good thing?

    Not really

    Sometimes he is.

    Sure, but not exceptionally so.

There is no such thing as "clutch", almost all of what is deemed "clutch" is merely statistical anomalies that superstitious people love to drone on about.

Not surprising at all, I like the air confidence that he walks with

Called out McShay and Mayock too

A lot of the "experts" had Gabbert rated over Cam... Even Mike Mayock. Finding a quarterback is not an exact science.

Bortles is the guy, if we go QB.

I'm still in the Clowney camp, however.

This new regime (led by OB) has been so tight lipped that I won't believe anything they say. We won't know their true intentions until draft day.

This would mark the second time in the past year that Bortles has bested Bridgewater. The first time was on Louisville's home field. The debate is really over.

    Yeah, because 29-38 for 341yds 2tds & 0 ints in a 38-35 ball game is really embarrassing!

    Thank you

I don't mind him saying Bortles is better (I disagree of course)

But to bring up the game as an excuse is utterly absurd and reeks of agenda pushing

Actually it's 3 times because Blake performed at the combine and Teddy (and Johnny) didn't. And if you watch the S. Carolina vs UCF game (Blake vs Clowney) with the understanding that UCF was completely out matched talent wise, although S.C. won _ Blake was the best pro prospect on the field at the most important position. The "pass rusher" Clowney didn't even get a sack playing against an A.A.C offensive line and Blake was making NFL plays against NFL talent. So he's bested a few guys.
