he must have a new record coming out or something. nothing like controversy (no matter how stupid) to drive up sales
Mmmmm - idiot. I was in the World Trade Center a few times, and most of the security guards when I was there WERE BLACKS.
I don't know, but their sponsoring of a panel discussion on political rockers is clearly a sign of their moral vacancy and is tantamount to an endorsement of Al Qaeda. In that vein, why is Clutch BBS giving him a platform?
i think VH1 had him on a few of their "i love the 80's" or those type shows a few times. guess he won't be invited back for any more. what a dumbass.
KRS-One is B*t**Made. Isn't this the same guy who called Nelly out for not making "real" hip hop music? First that and then this from a guy who obviously wants publicity. Cod
I . . . . I have no words I use to really like KRS One He was one of the few rappers spouting the Positive [or at least trying] but this. . . this is. . . . JEEEEESS . . IS THIS WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO STAY RELEVENT!!!! I dunno if he suffering from Senility or irrelevence but it is NOT KEWL TO SAY WE CHEERED We may cheer something that are not what the REST of America cheers [OJ CASE etc] but not the death of over 3000 people I don't know Osama i doubt many of the folx in those building did either I been hastle by cops but never wished their deaths [maybe a busted lip or something] I am stunned.. . . dumbfounded Rocket River
I totally agree with your post and really can't believe someone as smart as KRS would say/do something so very ignorant.
Would you rather prefer to pretend like he never made those comments and then proceed the rest of the day like you never heard it? KRS-One's comments give keen insight into what urban youths are thinking about 9/11 and America today and their place in it. My friend, in this case ignorance is not bliss.
The ongoing frustration he must be suffering over that battle with Nelly is clearly getting to him. I have heard KRS mentioned a lot when you talk about the forefathers of hip-hop with Run, Kane, Rakim and all that, but he is obviously to a washed up point where he is making up delusional wacko theories to try and spark interest in a long dead career. "I'm tired about hearing what's real hip-hop, half the time you see the mother****ers album flop" - Nelly
I was shocked at those comments as well, though I guess I shouldn't be. I was a big follower of BDP and KRS after the group broke up. After a while I stopped listening to the guy because he just didn't seem geniune anymore. While he is an essential character in hip-hop history, the guy has a Hindenburg-sized head. Teacher? Philosopher? Gimme a friggin' break. These guys are characters...ask Queen Latifah. So, gotta agree with the controversy angle. Hey if it works with Eminem, why not KRS? The answer would be that KRS farts dust and doesn't have much of a career.
You've got to be kidding me. Have you ever heard any "urban youth" say anything like that before? Not to mention KRS-One is like 40 yrs old and a bit out of touch with today's teens.
