I have T-Mobile and would like to get your advise on the best (not just the most $$$) Blackberry from their list of product. Need to receive emails and would like to open excel / word - Don't need to modify the files.

Just want to find the best buy!

    Thanks

I have an 8700g and love it. My roommate has the Pearl and that is one slick device. They both do the same thing with regards to email and opening attachments so the Pearl is probably the best option as it's smaller and has a microSD slot.

If your workplace doesn't allow camera phones, go with the 8700g. Otherwise, I think the Pearl is your best option.

If your going to be typing alot on a Blackberry do not get the pearl... With the 8700 you actually get a qwerty keyboard... with the pearl you have two letters for every button :(.. But you have to admit the Pearl is slick looking..

I have a 7130c which is the predecessor to the pearl and it is slick. However if you plan to do more email and attachments than phone calls I would get the 8700 since it has a bigger screen. The keyboard thing is no big deal. Once you get used to the smarttype is almost as fast as qwerty keyboard.

    Okay -

Can anyone compair the Blackberry Pearl vs T-Mobile Dash?

They both cost about the same but wanted to get some feedback from someone that has a Dash and not the T-Mobile associate

no phone is perfect, from what I've heard, a better battery is on the way.

I'd trade the flexibility of a Treo w/ a slighter shorter battery life over a BB anyday.

not related to the phone but i'm thinking about getting a blackberry pearl but what's the difference between this:

    BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on
Add access to BlackBerry's powerful data functionality to a voice rate plan. The BlackBerry Unlimited Add-on includes unlimited BlackBerry Web Client e-mail and Web browsing.

    which is 19.99 a month

    and this:

    T-Mobile Internet
The T-Mobile Total Internet Add On Feature gives you unlimited Internet access and unlimited T-Mobile HotSpot access. Use T-Mobile Internet to access your e-mail and browse the Internet no matter where you are.

    which is 29.99 a month.

I have been told the $19.99 is for the Blackberry and the $29.99 is for the T-Mobile Dash and others not related to Blackberry

Three people on my project team have Pearls and they all love them. I sort of think the two letters per button thing would be a bit tough to use.

    I hate Suretype Blackberries....
Who ever says you get used to it quickly is bullsh$%ing
If you get a Blackberry get one with a QWERTY keyboard.

You'll miss having a reliable phone that you can operate with one hand also. Treo's are total junk. Complicated, unreliable and weighs a ton.
