    Frivilous.

Guitar Center stopped me before I left there Tuesday night and checked my receipt.

Might have been because I was carrying $300 worth of gear out the door.

Oh wait....they check everybody. My bad.

Hey Zion, I read the article.
    I live in New York.
    I have a 15 month old daughter.
    I am white.

I am forced to show my receipt EVERY TIME I leave Toys R Us.

And trust me, I spoil the crap outta my daughter...I go about 2x a month.

This lawsuit is bs and these ladies should be punished for wasting the court's time.

those people are overreacting, sueing because they have to show a receipt. I do want to trivialize their complaint. they had to show a receipt which is normal in a store, and then they refused. And now they are complaining

sometimes the surface looks too ambiguous that you just have to straight ask.

in practice, the only people that actually make a reasonable amount of money are the lawyers and the original people suing. everyone else gets something like 20 bux.

    Yeah, you're right.

That's why the bank let's me wander out with tens of thousands of dollars in my hands without asking for a transaction receipt. We Jews run the international banking system, so when the security guard sees that mezuzah around my neck, he just smiles at me and lets me go.

    I wish!

    ;) ;) ;) ;) :D

One time I bought one of those insulated coolers that hold about a 1/2 gallon of water. I checked out at Target in Meyerland and this security guard popped up out of nowhere asking for me receipt. I showed it to him. He then asks me to open the top. I had two other bags and told him if he wanted to look inside he would have to open it himself. He looked annoyed but gave it a couple attempts to open it. He started to look embarrassed. Finally he got it to open and looked and saw it was empty. After he was done I told him he could have just shaken it.

I like being Indian. The old Indian people who work the doors at walmart never bug me. But they do try to recruit me to their temple. I feel bad. I should tell them I am Christian and not Hindu.

Don't stores have the right to ask you to show the receipt but you have the right to say no?

It doesn't sound frivolous to me. It might be that Toys R Us has a policy to check all shopper receipts, but the people at the door are lax on the white people. That's worth a lawsuit. $400 million might not be the right number, which is what the suit is supposed to determine, but if it is for the millions of black shoppers discriminated against in this way, then it should probably be big. Of course, they could have pulled the accusation out of their ass, but again, that's why they have trials. Can we really just assume that TRU is not discriminating?
