A man punching a woman in a bar is not something we debate. You've injected the race card to create something where nothing exists. Trolling at its worst.

 

What part of "in a heated argument over race relations" do you not understand. There is no need to pull a race card. The whole argument and assault was about race. This has nothing to do with the victim being a woman.

 

The more you post the more I wonder about you. What about race card did you not understand?

This is seriously the most liberal website I have ever been on and it is in Texas for a sports team. Not a combination you would normally find. I just find that odd.

There is a race debate in here almost weekly. They usualy result from something stupid, but the white person is the supposed offender, so it is all systems go. They are usually titled the same, but reversed, where the white is the offender. This guy brings up a story where race was definately the issue and is mocked and called a racist for doing so because a black person was the offender. Someone even threw up the little clan cartoons.

This is what this site has come to. A call is made to the police about an apparent break in. The cops arrive, and he refuses to show ID. He then gets rowdy and talks smack to the police and even about the police mother. He then gets arrested. The black cop with him says he would have arrested him too. It is proven the white cop is anything, but a racist. That does not stop this board from breaking down and screaming racism at the top of their lungs. The guy turns out to be a professor. The OP post a story about another professor pissed at whites who actually punches a lady over race and the OP is the racist?

I think everyone in here needs to take a look in the mirror, to see who the racist really is, regardless of your race. This thread has established it is okay to scream racism at any time when the white person is the supposed offender, regardless of truth. When the Black person is definately the offender, beyond any reasonable doubt, though, the one who talks about it is a racist. That is the ground rules you have established by mob rule.

Even if this was racism on the part of the professor, I don't really care. Black on White racism isn't good, but in the end, it doesn't really matter that much.

The reverse is not true. White on black racism hurts because in almost every case whites are making the decisions in this society. They decide who to give the jobs to, who to sentence or not sentence to prison, what laws are passed, what textbooks are used, what subjects are taught and how they are taught, who gets the promotion, who gets in investigated for a crime, etc.

Those things end up being more important and far reaching for all of society than one guy who punches somebody.

The guy who punched the lady was clearly wrong. He should be justly punished. But even if it was racism, his racism doesn't really affect very many other people.

 

What is there to debate here again?

Do you feel that society treats Black on White racism differently than White on Black racism? (If you don't understand why that is, then I guess that is a different matter altogether)
