Ima being the voice of reason. The debate over whether this is a worthy topic of discussion is itself a worthy topic of discussion. Only the shrill voices screaming and lecturing about the racism of the D&D Bandits are causing a problem here.

    The hell they are.

There is nothing but people grinding personal axes and dredging up arguments from other threads.

There is nothing about the OP that is worthy of debate or "discussion" other than the OP's "". And that is a crappy topic that ruins this forum.

I put "discussion" in quotes since that seems to be a catch-all you're hiding behind.

How about I post a thread in here about dog poop. Dog poop can be discussed. So that's fair game, right?

so you're saying 99% of the OP's on this first page of D&D don't even have a brief 1 sentence commentary?

I hope to see you crusade against anyone who ever mentions other issues in any other thread. Now that I am aware that no issues can be connected in the D&D I will keep my eye out for your courageous attempt to fix this forum.

I don't understand how people are still responding seriously to this thread after "malt liquor" and "dog biting man" comments were thrown out. LOL

    No doubt.

As a matter of fact this thread has prompted me to finally put all bigots, country bumpkins and people not interested in serious intellectual conversation on ignore.

I'm not in a Basso free world. The air is cleaner.

*now* in a Basso free world is how that should read.

Have fun with your "debates and discussions".

WHAT ISSUE WAS MENTIONED IN THE OP.

    WHAT IS DEBATABLE ABOUT THIS.

    SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME.

IT HAS BEEN 15 PAGES WITH ZERO REASONS OR JUSTIFICATIONS.

There have actually been multiple reasons and issues discussed in this thread. I don't know if you are ignoring them or if you don't find them interesting, but they are there.

By the way, your caps lock key is stuck.

OK. f*** it. I'm going to start 10000 threads about dog ***** and start random arguments with people I have personal vendettas against over barely related topics from times gone by.

That will surely make this forum better.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but do you mean these issues:
    1. Is this a discussable topic?
    2. What about the Gates case? Let's review!

Is there some other discussion other than poo?

    Freaking exactly.

    We're discussing:
    1) bigtexxx and his eyeroll
    2) whether this is a debatable topic
    3) gates

Yeah. This thread is a real winner.

But I guess that is what happens when you start D&D threads about stuff that isn't debatable... it either becomes about thread starter or about some other issue entirely.

Donny...please keep the dog poo threads in the hangout. Next to the cat poo threads. But tread carefully...because those threads can get....um....messy.

This place is for flinging only. Not 'flings' though. Those also belong in the hangout.

The way people on different sides of the aisle are reacting to this post is an interesting subject to me. If Donny (or you) don't feel that it is, why is he contributing to the length of the conversation?

Edit: I also think there is merit to the conversation about whether "black on white racism" is irrelevant as one poster has submitted, whether the use of the race card promotes reactionary thoughts and positions that damage the advancement of "racial harmony", whether there is a double standard when dealing with race related issues where a white person is a victim, and whether even if there is, does it even matter? These are all interesting things to me that stem from this thread. Maybe I'm r****ded I don't know. It's hard to follow though with everyone getting personal and attacking posters.

Sure you do. Bigtexx is reacting to the perceived contrast between the way people reacted to the Gates situation and this one. Why is that hard to understand?

    OK

    1. We all have come to the conclusion that a certain few on here are race baiters and fringe racists.

    2. They can't back up their opinions but try to deflect arguments and opinions with "race card playing"

    3. These people have truly never offered any positive or valid opinions to the forum.

My question is why do WE give them any validity by responding to their post? I ask myself this question all the time.

    1. Maybe we feel there is actually some sanity and open mindedness somewhere deep inside them.

    2. Maybe its actually entertaining to read such ignorance and stupidity come from a human who is assumed to be mentally stable. (I'm leaning toward this answer)
