Black men commiting suicide by hanging themselves from a tree

Well, if I was assessing odds: really pissed off confederate-flag-waving white guys would be a better bet than random suicides by tree hanging, but would like to know more about why they are concluding suicide.

 

It's very odd.

Why are black men all of a sudden using a tree to commit suicide? If this was some sort of protest there would be a statement. If it was a suicide, why do it out in the open? And why a lynching and not a gun? If this was foul play why aren't there any signs of foul play.

This makes so little sense.

 

How would they coordinate the medical examiners ruling them suicides? If it was a terrorist action they'd want them to be murders.

Very messed up situation.

Sheriff’s dispatch received a 911 call from a female saying her boyfriend hanged himself.
Sheriff’s Department personnel at the scene, including the coroner investigator, did not recover any evidence to suggest foul play.

Are there some drugs that can knock people out that wouldn't show up in the blood? How about chloroform how easy is it to identify if that's been used on someone?

It's a bit odd for 4 black people to hang themselves from trees all within weeks of each other and after George Floyd's death.

Let's say we give you this one. It still doesn't account for the others. I would need to see that this is more common than we think but just never heard about them before.

Most people commit suicide in a more private manner. I find it hard to believe that these suicidal people were ready to make political statements on their way out.

There are a ton of suicides, they are all sad and lonely. You are putting your politics into this guys probable suicide IMO.

 

I have not read the thread. A black man was found hanging by my job near ella and 610. A customer told a few hours ago. Police are still here.

A one off is totally within the realm of possibility. 4 in public by a tree branch is more than eye raising.

I'm not jumping to conclusions, just saying it's really suspect but I'm willing to see the evidence first.

I'm not a suicide expert.

People do not hang themselves from public trees unless they're hoping to be found before they die. People do hang others from public trees if they're hoping the bodies will be discovered after they've died.

I guess 5 men in one week decided to lynch themselves. That's, um, new.

 

But if 5 Black men in one week--during BLM protests--decide to hang themselves from public trees, it doesn't feel very odd? Occam's razor, dude.

We have a long history of lynchings in America.

We have zero instances of 5 Black men hanging themselves to death on public trees. Ever.
