Black Keys in Texas this weekend

    can't search for the other thread.

    Anyway, they play Houton on Saturday night at Mary Jane's on Washington.

    Here's a sample

    It's my favorite song by them, but not entirely representative of their sound.

    I suggest "10am Automatic", "All Hands Against His Own", and "Set You Free".

    A couple of friends and I are going to all 3 Texas shows. We leave for Dallas tomorrow aftrernoon.

    It doesn't hurt that another band I love, The Hentchmen, are also on the tour.

    I saw them Saturday at Mary Jane's. Pretty good show. Nothing mindblowing or anything. Thank God they only have two guys in the band--not even Mary Jane's horrific sound system can screw that up (though they did complain about the guitar level at least once). I wish I could have seen them at a better venue...they're too popular for the Axiom or Rudz--now that could have been a show.

    The Henchmen were unlistenable.
