Black Harvard Professor arrested after breaking into his own home?

Just saw Crowely's press conference after the beer summit. He handled himself extremely well and struck just the right note, I thought.

Indeed. I'm Asian and usually I just find police officers overbearing. Whenever I try to ask a question, they just look at me like I need to be a good little boy and STFU. And generally very uncooperative or helpful. That said, my mom and aunts always had very nice run-ins with the police. So I have a feeling young Asian guys get profiled too.

Regardless, you really can't see the discrimination from just arrest records. Asians and Indians(isn't India part of Asia?) simply don't cause trouble as much as the other races.

I think everybody blew it paying too much attention to an non-existent issue surrounding a local case that got way too much airtime.

Welcome to America, where black Harvard professors are arrested in their own homes because white cops have gentle egos and white Boston cops can claim that the term banana eating jungle monkey isn't racist while explaining that they would have sprayed the black Harvard professor with pepper spray for daring to talk back to the Man.

 

He deserved to get arrested, period! Anyone stupid enough to talk to cops like that does.

This is where TJ exposes his tiny tent racist tendencies. We all know that the TJ manifesto explicitly states that persons who contribute the most wealth to society are higher level human beings. The exception to the rule of course is when said being is black which causes an inverse proportionality of wealth contribution since the WSJ has time and again proven that blacks are poor tippers and investors. Ergo, the white cop, honorable maintainer of justice and public order, rises above the Harvard professor in class status.

 

Of course, how dare someone talk to cops that way after beign accosted for ID in his own home! I mean it's not like the cop is a government employee that works and serves us or anything.

 

This will make it all the more funny when T_J's contributions to wealth plummets when the oil bubble bursts.

he was doing his job, serving someone who called about a break in. the guy was a prick about the whole situation.

 

His job was done once Gates established himself as the resident. Everything else was just ego. Cops are pricks every day, all over the country. And? The worst part about it is that the cop seems to be a well meaning officer and he was unable to use his common sense and experience to defuse an unfortunate situation. Every day there are minorities who are confronted by cops for no reason and get the treatment. It's a demeaning experience. In this case an old black man with a cane was being demeaned, intentionally or not, in his own home. A cop should understand that situation just as if he were assessing any other situation in the line of duty.
