It will be the same one they offered last year.... the same one i have been using non stop for the last year. Its not the top of the line, but for simple office work/netsurfing/p*rn ect ..., it works great.
Im too afraid to go out on black friday. specially with kids, they could get trampled. i know you said all about this tech stuff but walmart is already lowering their prices on toys. for you guys who have kids.

Best Black Friday deals (according to this site) http://www.consumerist.com/consumer/exclusive/best-black-friday-deals-215004.php
It expired today. Shame on whoever hesitated! I did get the tv for 2000 not too long ago so just look around...
I plan to go to black friday this year for the first time. Trying to get a TV for my mom, and a laptop for my girlfriend. Anyone who has done this care to share some experience or tips?
Get out there EARLY. I've done it the last 2 or 3 years. Normally saved a couple of hundred bucks...so in the end it was worth it. Stuff disappears FAST.
How early? I plan to go right after the thanksgiving dinner, so I would probably be at the door by 9 or 10 p.m. Is that early enough? And also I heard for doorbuster items, they will give out tickets. How does this work? Do they just tell people to line up for the tickets? And what is my chance of getting the laptop ticket AND the tv ticket?
depends what u want. If its something like a Laptop or TV that has limited quantaties, then thats about a good time to line up, some people actually show up 24 hours before the store opens. Also, plan what u want, get it and leave. When I first did it, i got what i needed, then "looked" around for more stuff to get which I dunno why, cause it aint like there isn't going to be something not advertised that I missed, but just get out of there when u got what u need, if u dont, you'll be standing in line for a good hour or 2. IMO, i love Black Friday, its an expierence to see all of these people running for these deals, also seeing people get so excited for the littlest things. I swear, back in 2002, there was this one family that was purchasing their first DVD player for $50, and they were wondering what JPEG and MP3s were since they were able to play it. btw, ill be camping out with Miguel at whichever Best Buy.
i did black friday for the first time last year. went to compusa for a midnight opening for some flash drives (i think 512MB for $20) and mp3 players my sister was getting. the line wasn't huge but stuff went quick. i lunged for the last flash drive, but we wanted two and my sister got the mp3 players. then they only had one register open so it took a long time. luckily right as our part of the line was passing another register it opened and i jumped in second in line. however, after we went home and slept, we showed up to Best Buy at like 4 in the morning for a 5 a.m. opening. i think i wanted arrested development and we needed another flash drive and something else. anyway, the line is huge. down the side of the store, way out into the parking lot. looks like a nightmare, we almost go home. at 4:30 they start letting people in, we figure nothing will be left when we get in. however, the line moves fast and we're in by like 4:45. there is plenty of everything. we find more 512MB flash drives for $20, however, right on the other side of the rack with these, there are 1 GB for $20. an amazing deal that wasn't even advertised. then my sister even finds some better mp3 players than at compusa and i get my dvd. they have tons of registers open and by the time we check out, it's only like 5:02. so we basically got everything we wanted, even cheaper than we wanted, and were gone by the time we just though we would be getting in. so i would recommend the Best Buy by willowbrook mall if you want any electronics. i'm trying to think of something i want so i can go buy some cheap stuff but i haven't thought of anything yet. i'm saving up gift cards for an hdtv many months into the future so i can't buy any of those right now.
leave ur house around 3am... last year i headed to walmart to try to get that laptop for 299. i got there at exactly 5am...they were all gone. it was a horrible experience. people were arguing and fighting over SD tvs. I couldnt believe it. they dont call it BLACK friday for nothing. it was crowded, people were rude, there hardly anywhere to walk. by the time i got to the electronics section everything was gone. VULTURES!
I never camped over night to get a deal, but I did leave pretty damn early. You need to be at the store around 5am latest. I think they open their doors around then (most of them)...... I went to the Best Buy off of I-10 near the Beltway, (Bunker Hill rd) and that was a nightmare. After that, the next year I came back up to COllege Station for the deals and there was almost NO line. All the students were out of town with their families etc.
I'll be at home, watching TV on Black Friday. I don't get into acting like an idiot and facing angry mobs of crowds just to save a few bucks on a few things I probably don't need anyways. Some people get such a rush over getting deals even if they don't need whatever it was they bought. Then they go bragging to friends and relatives on what great deals they got. It is strange behavior to me. Maybe i'm weird.
I will be home watching my 42 inch LCD HD TV the day after black friday, with 600 hundred extra bucks in my pocket
good loooks on the xbox 360 rebate. i just picked mine up today at the microcenter near the galleria. xbox 360 premium and a 1 year warranty +tax for $360.00. i dont think anyone has found out about this deal yet..the sales girl said that there were still around 600 xbox 360s in stock.
I called the one in Dallas and they said the same thing, 600 plus units...I'm waitin for the $100, but I don't know...
