Anybody found a good deal on a 32" or 37" tv?

37" would be preferable.

This is what I'm targeting right now:

37 Inch Vizio LCD HDTV

Vizio... yeah, I know... but it comes with a 3 year warranty and Costco's awesome return policy. If it drops below 400, or comes with any package deals, I'm gonna pull the trigger.

 

Isn't 720p on a 50+ inch tv a no-no?

That TC is a nice price, but I think I'm going to narrow my search down to only 37"... it is what my entertainment center was built for, so I'd probably regret going smaller

 

i read a article that said to an average person's eye that 720p for 50" looks exactly the same as 1080p (they do not put out a 720p for anything larger then 50")

the guy knew what he was talking about, he worked in the industry or something to that extent.

i think what you give up is other aspects, less controls to adjust the tv. and it lacks other options which could be many, for example being able to connect your pc wireless etc.

in my opinion from normal viewing distance it would be almost the same, but like i said you give up other things for that price.

It's noticeable when you go from a 1080i channel to a 720p channel, but honestly, watching on a big screen is more than enough.

You probably won't even care after 10 minutes.

 

Its def possible on an early bird/doorbuster, sometimes they only promise 2.

 

I am hoping to find a 40" plus flat screen. Target has a 40" Westinghouse for $298. Anything better out there?
