I mean is it like Amazon's Prime membership where you can set the their system to not renew or is he just reminding himself?
Reminding himself... these magazine companies are not out there to help consumers... it benefits them if you forget. Some let you cancel the auto-renew ahead of time, but I've known quite a few that don't.
I'm guessing he's using a calendar to remind himself. I agree with what ItsMyFault said. These great deals are hoping you forget to cancel and they subscribe you for another year. I'd make sure you can actually find their cancellation number/process, too.
I ordered a Toshiba laptop last week from Amazon and they advertised it with a webcam but the model I ordered and that they were selling does not have a webcam so they gave me a $20 gift card for the site. That's cool, I can knock out somebody else's present. :grin:
thanks for the lol Pun i set it in google calendar to remind me next halloween so I can cancel a month ahead of time from the final delivery date in case they have a need to cancel 2 weeks ahead of time or something. my prime trial thing ends in mid dec i am thinking about renewing it its 79 for the year right? trying to think how many items i purchase a year from amazon that i have to pay shipping on. in some ways i do not buy things on amazon since i would have to pay shipping on just 1 item i may buy more often now from amazon which actually would save me more money For those with Prime (who have to pay for it) is it worth the service any additional perks besides the free 2 day shipping?
I paid the $79 for it accidentally and just for what I have ordered the past week it has paid for itself already not to mention the other things I ordered the past few months. Some items that I have ordered are pretty big and shipping would have been $30+ such as a jewelry armoire and Razor pocket mod and then other things like the laptop. I have it set not to renew next year but the 2-day shipping perk alone has been worth it.
I just bought a Satellite (but don't know what model it is). Mine was from the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but it was a good price. It has an i7 Intel. What model is yours?
Mine is an A665-S6094... but this here website http://www.geekwithlaptop.com/compare-laptops says it has an I3, but on the laptop it says "i7".
