    I bought a laptop with similar specs 2 years ago at the same price. Hindsight, i would have spent an extra $100 for a dual core.

    I just purchased this sony bluray player BDPS570 from craiglist for $90 and he also sells new bluray movies $10 a pop. So I bought Predators and Green Zone for $20 as well. This guy is legit. Buy 5 blurays and get one free. He also has the Ps3 motion for $50 as well. That Bluray player is 3D wifi built in.

    If anyone is looking for a laptop, I get great discounts at both Dell and HP. I like HP better because of the free upgrades. Just send me a message and I'll pass you the info. Great deals.

    Not sure about Gallery Furniture, Star Furniture or any of those major furniture places, the only one I know that had one that was legit was Rooms 2 Go.

    Cheezey, I may be interested. Wife and I are looking for an X-Mas present and have been talking about a laptop, so we aren't so dependent on our 2 PC's.

    Depends on the age of the consumer. In my case, I would if I bought it online. It also depends on the TV, some of those 3D TV's a pretty hefty in $$.

    Not everyone has a $1000+ to spend on a TV. Heck, I financed my $600 TV a few years back at no interest for a year. I didn't have to come up with the money all at once, got a new TV and was able to afford it overtime without hanging myself with a bunch of interest.

    black friday started early

    http://weblogs.dailypress.com/features/shoppingblog/2010/11/walmart_hosts_early_black_frid.html
    Walmart hosts early Black Friday sale first weekend in November

    You could argue that Black Friday is no longer just one day on the retail calendar. Marketing departments have latched onto the popular phrase as a sure way to get attention. Sears, for example, didn't even wait until November to host its "Black Friday Now" sale.

    Walmart quickly joined in with an electronics sale this weekend that many are calling its "Pre-Black Friday" event.

    Starting at 8 a.m. Saturday (in stores), shoppers will find heavily discounted game consoles, TVs and laptops. The sale extends into Sunday, though the best deals likely will be sold out by then.

    Here are the specifics:

    * Vizio 26-inch 720p LED HDTV for $198.

    * Vizio 32-inch 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV for $298.

    * Vizio 42-inch 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV for $498.

    * Vizio 47-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV for $698.

    * Vizio 55-inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV for $898.

    * Compaq 15.6-inch laptop with Intel Celeron Processor, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Home Premium for $288.

    * Sony PlayStation 3 320GB console with move bundle (includes PlayStation Eye camera, PlayStation Move controller and Sports Champions) and a $50 Walmart or Walmart.com gift card for $399.

    * $50 iTunes Gift Cards for $35.

    Most of the sales also will be available online, though Walmart hasn't specified what time the deals will start. Many bargain bloggers are guessing about 5 a.m.

    But this is likely just the beginning of the holiday electronics war.

    hhgregg is advertising a "Private Sale" with extended hours Thursday through Saturday. The entire lineup of deals hasn't yet been released, but some offers include a 32-inch LCD HDTV for $288 and an Acer 10.1-inch laptop with 1GB DDR2 memory and 160GB hard drive for $259.

    Amazon.com and Best Buy may jump on the bandwagon this weekend, as well, but so far they haven't announced any competing sales.

    Best Buy competes with Walmart's early Black Friday sale

    When Walmart announced its early Black Friday electronics event this week, many bargain bloggers guessed that Best Buy and Amazon.com would follow suit.

    Today, Best Buy jumped on board. Beginning Friday, Nov. 5, the store will host a "Shop Early, Save Big Event." The featured item is an eMachines 15.6-inch laptop with an AMD V-Series processor, 2GB memory, 250GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium for $279.99.

    Other discounts include:

    - Insignia HD camcorder for $174.99

    - Samsung Blu-Ray player for $119.99

    - Sony PSPgo for $149.99

    - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible for $99.99

    - $20 off a variety of Wii Disney games, such as "Wii Toy Story 3," "Wii Disney Sing It: Party Hits," and "Wii Disney Guilty Party."

    Also in electronics news, the Xbox 360 Kinect game console hit stores this morning, and the Best Buy store in Newport News had about a dozen people waiting for the doors to open at 10 a.m.

    I'll check it when I get home. Can't see personal email at work. It normally crosses over to my phone but I don't see it. Might be in the spammer folder.
