Fellow CFans my PC crapped out on me yesterday so tell me is this a good deal?

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Gateway...?id=pcmprd139100050013&skuId=9999139100050013

HP has a very similar PC on sale for BF but I don't feel like camping out for it. Does it seem like this would be an item you would need to camp out for?

    http://bfads.net/Ad/Best-Buy-2010/Page3 (middle of the page)

AMD Athlon II Dual-Core Processor Computer (20" LCD, 6GB RAM, 1TB HDD, Win 7) with HD LED Widescreen Monitor and HP Deskjet 3000

    for 499.99

Anyone think it will be onsale online for that price as well?

Finally does anyone think the all Samsung laptops $150 off is a good deal?

    Thanks!

    http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/111355/hate-the-black-friday-lines-score-deals-online

It has become as traditional as turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie: On the day after Thanksgiving, shoppers bundling up and heading out before dawn for retailer's eagerly awaited Black Friday doorbuster deals.

And after two years of dismal holiday sales, retailers are upping the ante to bring shoppers into the stores this season. This year the National Retail Federation estimates that holiday sales will increase 2.3% to $447.1 billion, much improved from last year's 0.4% uptick and the dismal 3.9% sales decline in 2008.

But for those who don't want to face the stores, don't despair. Many of the doorbuster deals will be available online, too.

"This Black Friday, I would like to stay in the comfort of my bedroom possibly online bargain shopping for maybe a table and some things to decorate my new apartment," said Kaitlynn Blyth, who waited outside last year from 7 p.m. until midnight to get Zhu Zhu pet accessories for her younger sister.

Here's where to score the deals:

Best Buy (NYSE: BBY - News): The same products promoted in its Thanksgiving Ads -- including doorbusters -- will be available on BestBuy.com starting Thanksgiving Day. Best Buy is also offering free shipping on online orders through Dec. 21, excluding laptops, iPads, iPods and some major appliances.

Macy's (NYSE: M - News): Doorbusters, like a KitchenAid Mixer for $179.99, will also be sold both online and in stores on Black Friday.

Amazon (NasdaqGS: AMZN - News): Here's another reason to avoid the Black Friday stampede: The online retailer is matching other retailer's doorbuster prices. Plus, it's offering free shipping.

Toys R Us: The popular toy store will preview more than 60 "Mystery Deals" on its site starting Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 12:01 a.m. But those savings will only be available in Toys R Us stores from 10 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day until 1 p.m. on Black Friday. The toy retailer will also give out free Crayola 64-Packs and coloring books with any purchase, while supplies last.

Wal-Mart (NYSE: WMT - News): The country's largest retailer is offering online-only specials on Thanksgiving Day in addition to free online shipping with no minimum purchase. However, the doorbuster deals that shoppers camp out for, like a Nintendo Wii for $199 plus a $50 gift card, will be in-store only starting at 12 a.m. on Nov. 26.

Target (NYSE: TGT - News): Online-only deals start on Thanksgiving Day before the company's popular two-day sale. But the discounter's doorbuster deals are only available at in stores starting at 4 a.m. on Black Friday. In order to get free shipping on the online orders, consumers must spend $50 or more.

The same is true for Sears (NasdaqGS: SHLD - News) and Kmart, where there will be online discounts of 30-40% off on Thanksgiving Day, but the deeper discounts of 50-60% will only be in stores on Black Friday. Web shoppers can then pick up their purchases in stores to save on the shipping.

OK, spoke with my cousin's cousin and he said that Walmart will not give out tickets but will make people get in line. He said once they know how many products they have, they will then give it to the first of that number in line.

Will wait and switch work? Like I could wait in line an hour then switch with my lady and so on?

Yeah, I've done that in the past. Not with Walmart, but at other stores... it's a convenient way to get some rest.

Usually it is fine. Only one of you can purchase the item though.

But we both could if we stayed in line right or had a switcher each?

I agree with this. Maybe one of those toy ones but not an actual one, no matter the cost. If you want to get one for a 5 year old though, I would go as cheap as possible because more than likely it will not get taken care of properly.

No, I don't think so. Because the prices don't go down, the demand doesn't go any higher. There might be more people shopping for one since it's the holidays, but you shouldn't have a problem finding the phone in stock at a retailer or online.

    Damn, a 37' tv is a monster!!! ;)

Vizio is usually considered an "off-brand" or maybe a 2nd or 3rd tier brand. They make decent tv's and bang-for-the-buck, they're tough to beat. I have a 27" Vizio that I've had for a few years now and it runs for hours daily in my geek room. It's performed well. The picture quality isn't as good as a Samsung, Panasonic, etc, but I just need the thing to show me a picture that isn't horrible and it does that, so I'm happy.

There are a bunch of deals going on now that aren't technically BF deals. I know Walmart has been having daily deals. They had a decent LG BluRay player for $65. It's something like $80 at Amazon.

Vizio tends to cheap out on two things to keep costs down, their warranty and their speaker systems.

They're a 2nd tier brand, but they're more than worth it if you get the right model and the right warranty.

I'm starting to lean back towards getting a 37" over 32"... I went and compared side by side, and it's a pretty significant jump in size from where I'll be watching it from. Damn you, retailers... gimme a 37" worth getting.

I went and got the 26inch LED

Speakers def arent the best but i can manage because

Im only using it for a monitor for my laptop most of the time, and a occassional 360 games from the fatty arcade version, and netflix here or there.

Its a major upgrade from the 19inch non widescreen low contrast LCD i've had for years now.

Its in my bedroom where I also have a 42inch sony plasma to watch so it was just right. I also have a 42inch LD where i have my ps3 and 360 slim connected to so gaming is set.

I had to choose between this 26inch LED and a regular vizio 32 inch roughly the same price but my computer stand isnt THAT big anyway

I was going to wait to get the 37 inch in the post BF sale, but walmart looks to be sticking some of their tvs on the floor on pallets right now.

I saw some samsungs, vizios, sanyo's and a few other lower brand kinds all out in the middle of the floor up to 32 inhes.

Since i already have 2 42inch tv's one plasma and one lcd, im good to as far as watching movies and tv so this wasnt a hard decision

Good luck to all of you guys looking for something to hang on your wall.

Oh yeah, the way the warranty works at walmart is this

20 bucks for a 2 year warranty...they dont take tv's back anymore unless its within 90 days

after that you have to deal with the manufacturer warrany(vizio) for one year

....then walmarts 2 year warranty kicks in, but you have to deal with their service center by phone and cannot take it back to the store so

If the warranty is the biggest thing to you, costco might be better for you

This guy does an awesome and very handy Excel Spreadsheet every year for Black Friday, it is definitely worth downloading. It basically lists all of the big name stores, the items they have, and the pricing. You can sort it by items, stores, etc.

I don't think it's completely done yet because he updates it daily. No reason you can't download it now, and again in a few days.
