With good deals popping up more and more online each year, I don't think it's necessary to wait in long lines and buy anything locally anymore. I wouldn't say it's a HOT deal, but I think I did pretty good by picking up a 42" Panasonic VIERA X1 Series 720p Plasma TV. It was $564 + tax at Dell, but with 20% Bing cashback, it comes out to $497. I know for around the same price you can get a 40" Samsung 1080p LCD TV. But I did as much research as I could and I went with the Plasma. Hope I made the right choice! EDIT: Oh, and be sure to watch the fatwallet and slickdeals forums like a hawk! Amazing TV deals come up, with some of them selling out in minutes.
Got to Target at 3:30am today. There was at least 100+ people in front of me then. As time neared 5am, the line was ridiculously long. Had to be at least 1000 people. Scored the Westinghouse & 1TB hard drive. It only took 10 minutes for Target. I then headed straight for BestBuy, got all the games I wanted (L4D2, Fallout 3, & RE5). Then Gamestop was next, but nothing I wanted. Lastly, I hit up Baybrook Mall at 6ish where there weren't that many people. Got some free stuff there. All in all, a very good black friday.
Hmm deciding if I want the Best Buy Samsung 46" LCD for 1k or the Sears Sony 46" for 855. Blah I can order the BB online while the Sears I'll have to go in and check.
i bought a 46 inch Toshiba LCD from BB last Sunday for my parents. 1080p 120mhz. 10% off after tax it was about 950. not a bad deal.
I purchased the 500 gb portable hard drive for $60 @ target around 9am. Went for the smaller size instead of the 1TB. Very organized in the store, Guest service price match both walmart and best buy doorbuster bluray movies.
Best buy was very swift as well around 6:30 am purchased Dragon orgins and Resident evil 5 for the 360 for $59.
What Target did you go to? I got to Super Target near Reliant at about 4:55. There was a line (not too long), but I got into the store at about 5:02.
argh. my xbox 360 just crapped out, and for whatever reason its not covered under warranty anyone know of any good deals for the 360 arcade version? I have to pay 100$ to fix my xbox.
Well got all I wanted. Sears: $40 19.2v Cordless drill, $70 4 piece 19.2v Drill, Saw, vacuum, Flashlight Target: $12 Wizard of Oz on Blu-ray Radio shack: $30 PS3 Controller. got home at 7am. I'd rather wait all night and get done early than drive around all day today.
