its probably good. I know several samsung plasma owners, they've been happy. however for plasma, you have 'break it in' for a couple weeks. it's going to be 720p, but that's not a big deal. i'm curious of the model number. remind me why you are insisting on walmart again? what was wrong with online stuff like newegg?
i don't play computer games anymore, i'm on console. what game exactly requires so much freaking power? i have a dual core intel with 2 gigs and an AGP radeon card and all my windows xp stuff runs super duper fast, what the hell game requires quad processors?
i dont play many graphic intensive games, such as shooters, but i still like a system that'll sustain 75-100 frames per second, and last for about 2 years
I thought you said cheaper brands aren't very good. It appears from personal experience you are right. 2 of my friends have cheaper model LCDs, one is an Olevia and the other is AOC. The Olevia set is going out and it has not even been 1 year and the AOC has lots of dead pixels in just over a year.
Since when was SAMSUNG a cheap brand? 2007 WW Sales 98 Billion dollars dude, on the Newegg link, I didn't say anything about the cheapo brands. They had Panasonic and Toshiba and Sharp TVs on there for great prices. New egg. Panasonic VIERA TH42PZ80U 42" 1080p 480Hz Plasma HDTV w/ Anti-Reflective Filter & 3 HDMI $1499.99 Your Price: $899.99 With Promo Code EMCBBBDBH
Like what exactly? I have 2 8800GTX's in SLI, and an older CPU from when I built this system. Core2duo E6400 etc, and I get great FPS in everything I play.
I went into CC today at lunch to browse the Samsung 40" LCD's, and ended buying this TV for my bedroom. For anyone saying Samsung is junk, this one was rated the best of the best for LCD's in this size for 2008 in one of those HDTV magazines. The SS DLP in my den is nothing but spectacular. Samsung, 46" LCD 1080p, dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1, 3 HDMI ports, 36 month no payment/no interest...all for $1099.00. I wanted this TV back in May but it was like $1900.00, and since it's my bedroom TV I said no thank you sir. They wanted $1299.00 in store today, and in case you don't know, you can negotiate for TV's at CC and Best Buy. Circuit City is doing so poorly, down economy= me scoring, I guess. After b****ing about the drive to pick it up and acting like I'd rather go to the store near my home and just buy it there the negotiating took off. I just bought 3 HDMI cables from the link on page 4. Thanks for that!
LMAO!!! I would already have it if my girlfriend was not so damn picky. I just found out I can get an extra 7% off at Dell and they have a 46'' Samsung on sale for $1299 and with the 7% off that knocks it down to the $1199 range. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=A2026368 I'm going to try my best to talk her into ordering this bad boy. Wish me luck!
That's the exact one I bought today. The no interest/no payment for 3 years @ CC lured me in. $50 a month ain't gonna be that hard to send in for this monster.
