I didn't wake up early this year or anything...I didn't go to the stores until after lunch so I missed some things...Overall, I still got great deals on movies, cameras, etc... I probably spent as much as I did last year...
As mentioned earlier in the thread, I ordered the Sony Blu-ray for the $150 special from Sony Style. It was back ordered. So yesterday I find out it's been shipped and my credit card billed. I clicked on the FedEx tracking number they provided and it shows the player has been delivered, to someone in LAS VEGAS, in JUNE. Trying to get one of the customer service a-holes at Sony Style has been impossible. It goes directly to a recording saying they are experiencing a lot of calls, suggest I go to the web site and get disconnected. I tried pressing "0" and nothing works. I just want my damn blu-ray player.
its frustrating but i wouldnt worry too much about it. I have shipped stuff that i sold on ebay and it would show up as delivered even though it hasnt been, the customers all got their stuff within a week. worst case scenario, you file for a lost item and they will refund you, pretty quick time with that too.
i also ordered a $150 blu-ray from that site. it was backordered and is still processing. i have been trying to call them ALL DAY but i keep getting the stupid "sorry we are experiencing a high amount of calls" recording also. i tried cancelling via their chat customer service, but they keep telling me to call the number. i am getting fed up with this...
I bet it ships pretty soon...mine shipped just a couple days after they told me it was back ordered so you may just want to be wait a little longer.. I finally tracked my package down by calling FedEx. The tracking number was completely different from the one Sony gave me and I'm expecting delivery by Thursday. I'm much happier now.
Faos, I pulled the trigger on this one: <object width="335" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://www.cnet.com/av/video/flv/newPlayers/universal.swf" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="FlashVars" value="playerType=embedded&value=50004139" /><embed src="http://www.cnet.com/av/video/flv/newPlayers/universal.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="335" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" FlashVars="playerType=embedded&value=50004139" /></object> Amazon has a deal if you buy 4 Warner Bros Blurays, you get $100 off your bluray player. so it ended up being $216 for the whole thing.
Nice. What movies did you get with it? I bought my first bluray movie yesterday: Kill Bill 1. Looked as great as I had hoped. I was blown away by the colors.
i had to buy from their list of warner movies, batman begins the perfect storm superman phantom of the opera
