the LCD panels are only made by a few companis then sold out to the companies that make the electronics and casing. If that TV has the features you need and the price you want then go for it. Most of the cheaper TVs skimp on things like HBMI inputs, graphic interface and controls, speakers etc.

Blurr, Dell will have the Sony BDP-350 on sale (like everyone else) on black friday. I think it'll be $199.
I just use my PS3 as a BRP. I might eventually get a standalone player but I don't watch enough movies on DVD or BR to justify such a purchase.

I'll second tinman's post about Best Buy having great prices. I just picked up a 52" for a smidge over 2k. The one on 290/Hollister also had 2 open item Kuros for about 2k as well.

I have the older model, slightly higher end. The picture pops like crazy but checkout AVSforums and make sure it doesn't have judder, voltage issues, or flicker. If not jump on it, you will be delighted.

Going for the bedroom fun in HD! Very nice..you might want to check if it has night vision though for those Paris Hilton shots. I think it will shoot as long as you have room on your SD card. Bigger the card=longer shooting.
LOL! Well, it holds up to an 8-GB SD card and for some reason that just doesn't seem that long, especially when it would be shooting in HD.
