I saw glory at a black movie theater. really really really bad. eddie murphy has a pretty funny take on this: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gNHnWufo0UI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://youtu.be/gNHnWufo0UI
I went to an Iron Man 3 matinee 2 weeks ago. My wife and I had the theater to ourselves. After it ended, we walked into Star Trek 2.
And Theaters have jacked the volume up to ear splitting levels because of assholes who yap like small dogs while they watch the movie. Combine that with the overpriced food and long previews, and I actually feel pity for those people who put up with the grief just so they don't have to wait an extra 4-5 months to see the latest F&F movie where Vin gets to drive a car.
On topic. During Django Unchained, there was a black couple behind us that talked. I thought they added to the entertainment.

I did that... Not as great as it seemed. I cut a hole in the popcorn when my then girlfriend used the restroom. The first problem was cutting the hole big enough, but then the problem was keeping the popcorn from falling out. I was able to get into position, but then the problem was that the oil and fake butter made my member itch and burn. I was able to hold on long enough to surprise my future wife who screamed "Oh my God that is your dick" to a half full theatre... Very lucky I was not arrested... The fact that the movie was The Princess Diaries didn't help.
LOL.. no thanks. If I wanted to see a funny black "comedian" I'd go into a Chris Rock movie. I don't need funny black man in Fast and Furious 6 or Iron Man 3. Unless we're talking about Tyrese, lol.
I love long previews. I enjoy movie theaters because of the large screen and the experience of it all. Sitting down with a nice cocktail or a tasty coffee while enjoying a movie on the big screen is pretty enjoyable and relaxing to me
Younger black chicks are annoying during scary movies, but the fear gets them all worked up and makes for a fun after movie time.
Were they talking as in having a conversation or talking as in commenting on the movie. Sometimes the silly comments do add to the entertainment. When I saw FF6 some dude behind me made some stupid remarks and I couldn't stop laughing.
I remember going to see Gran Torino. The volume was a little low and I had an elderly white couple sitting behind me. The husband says to his wife "I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING, CAN THEY TURN IT UP?" Any point in the movie where the audience laughed she'd have to explain the joke to him.
Oh I see. Flipping scripts, and blaming white folks. I see you player. I went to get see a Friday matinee of 42. There were no youthful black people there, but older adults. I mean, everyone at least knows the story of Jackie Robinson, don't they? Especially if you're black. But man, they clapped and whooped and hollered for any hit that Jackie got. Never seen that done before.
You guys remember what the name of the Sundance theater in downtown was before they renovated the place? It was under a different name right, what was it? Back when it was under a different name I went to see Precious in the theaters, about halfway mark, white dude got mad at some sistas and told her to be quite. They went back and forth for like 5 mins and the whole time that was happening, I was hooked/ I loved it was like Shakespearean theater. of course the Sista got thrown out, it didn't bother me because I was at the top of the row and they were closer towards the screen, that's where all the action was happenin.
