Some might think he's overrated because he doesn't squirm on the ground. He picks his spots, and he picks them VERY well. No way is this guy overrated. 3 years to obtain his black belt, and the first American to win the tournament. His flexibility is why he is where he is. His legs are like another set of arms. How is he overrated?
He may have been overrated before he won the LW championship, but being the best in 2 weight classes pretty much guarantees he's the real thing. I dont think he could win abu dhabi, but he'd do alright. I think people just dont like that he seems lazy and its a tossup which penn you see at a fight, toned in tights or gasing out in shorts.
he is one bad dude, overrated... you wouldn't be saying that after you got in the ring with him and he breaks your face and all the joints you can possibly think of. he's my favorite fighter by far, don't care about his personality, i like how he fights in the ring.
