If someone had a father from Spain, and a mother from Mexico and they went to Spain, then they might say "Welcome Home".

Human life began in Africa. In fact they have an "Eve" that they can trace all human's DNA back to. It's called Mitochondrial Eve. It's pretty interesting if you want to look it up.

Actually, whether or not we all are of African decent is a good theory out there today based on current information and some assumptions, but still hotly debated (on the assumptions). What's more interesting (also not settle) is we are all brothers and sisters and we all have been traced back to 1 "lucky mother"! Now think about that. (before someone get confused, that one lucky mother was not the sole living human-like person nor the first human-like person, it's just the one that all of us seems to have descended from).

 

Just wanted to clear this up a little bit, Mitochondrial Eve is almost a misnomer because it implies that she was the first human female (like the biblical Eve). In fact, there were other human females in existence during her time.

As FranchiseBlade pointed out, what makes her unique is that she is the only female that all humans alive today can trace their lineage back to.
