My Bday is Halloween and I want to go out with my wife for a steak dinner. Where should I go? Ruth Chris looks too expensive.... and so is Taste of Texas... whats an affordable GOOD steak restaurant on the west side of Houston?

I personally think Fogo is the best place for a steak dinner. You get so many choices of meat plus an unbelievable salad bar. It's pricey but I think its worth it.

    del friscos.

I normally don't like steak, but after having their prime rib, I can't stop thinking about it.

    Pricey though.

    Pappas Bros Steak House

The only place in town that dry ages their rib eyes.

Like a previous poster stated, it's Del Frisco's or bust.

    Best steak in town.

It is a little expensive but if it's your birthday you should treat yourself and your wife.

Forget the west side. Indulge and go to Capital Grille. LISTEN TO ME I'M SERIOUS.

you can get a 15-day dry-aged bone-in ribeye at del friscos... granted it's 24oz. and pushing $100 but it's perfect to split with someone.

pappas does do a pretty damn good steak, though. smith and wolensky's can be pretty good but it can be hit or miss.

Does the quality of the steak directly affect the quality/likelihood of the three Bs?
