Walton is great. Why would Walton, or any other writer, have any clue as to where Webber was heading? The article is pure speculation. Just like Vecsey or Bob Ryan or Dale Robertson.

Just picture Walton writing that article with tongue in cheek.

    BobFinn*,

Is Bob Ryan that clown from the Boston Globe who always casts a dissenting vote for the MLB Hall of Fame?

    Are you Bob Ryan? [IMG]

You know.....last yer I posted something along the lines of "Bill Walton is an idiot" and all the responses I got were about how he wasn't that bad.

Now, he does this Webber article and you all stone him for being an idiot.

Hmm, a fickle crowd arent' we?

    Not fickle-- just impassioned.

Walton was a guest on a favorite nationally syndicated radio show of mine "Bob and Tom."
Walton kept referring to "Tom and Bob" of course. You could hear the giggles in the B&T studios.

Walton should have retired after after the NCAA title game against Memphis State. He would have been immortalized.

Who cares what he thinks? He doesn't know what he's talking about.

    ------------------
    Houston Chronicle:
He sat with his teammate and buddy Cuttino Mobley in Philly and they talked about how they had whipped the Sixers and Pacers by about 30 each this season.

"Smacked the ... out of them," he said. "We have the talent."

If he's such an idiot and a r****d, then why do you people care what he thinks enough to actually read his article?

I mean if I think someone's a moron, I'm not going to waste my time reading their article, unless it's Lhutz...

I'm an optimist. I always have hope that idiots can turn it around - that EVERYTHING they say can't be idiotic. I try to give them a chance...So I read that article by Walton...ummm..let's just say I'm not so optimistic any more..hehe...Next walton article will not be read by these eyes..
