Walton can get annoying at times, but he brings so much energy to his broadcasts that he even make Clipper game blowouts (of which there are many) bearable to watch.

Have to respect a man who speaks his mind and kisses no ass (excpet John Wooden's, but hey, if he doesn't deserve some extra praise, who does?).

    Walton always loved talented bigs.
because he once proclaimed that he's "Big fundatmental I"
while duncan is "Big fundamental II"
    :)

the thing that annoys me about bill walton is everytime he describes a player he always does it like this.

The poise! The mental toughness! The dexterity!

And he does that like eighty times a game. it drives me up the wall for some reason.

Walton ain't no Vitale, who is by FAR the most annoying sportscaster anywhere! Walton was a bball great, so his views mean mean something. Then again, Barkley's views are completely crap... but then again, Barkley ain't no Great. :)

There is no middle ground with Walton....you either love him or hate him...

Personally, I think Bill Walton is great...He understands the TEAM concept of basketball as good as any announcer in the business. As long as you take his comments with a grain of salt, you start to realize that he knows what he's talking about. I can see some of the stuff he'll be saying when he does a Rockets game.

"Great pass by Yao! Remeniscent of Wilt Chamberlain when he led the league in assists!"

"Yao has the best court vision ever! Well, except for Larry Bird, of course..."

"That was the greatest spin move I've EVER seen!"

(Yao takes an off balance baseline jumper) "Bad shot by Yoa.....(shot goes in)...You know, that last shot reminded me of those wild shots that Hakeem Olajuwon used to take. They didn't look very good at the start, but you knew it was going in!"

"Yao Ming is doing things that most 7'5" guys only DREAM of!"

I wonder how Walton would do paired up with Murphy.

They'd either be really entertaining........or they'd kill each other.

Walton's an ass. If he likes a player or team, he depicts them as the greatest on the planet. If he doesn't like a player or team, he depicts them as miserable, weak and pathetic. There's never any middle ground with him. I want him to go away.

    Long live Gene Peterson!

I saw the game last night and heard the positive comments he made in regards to Yao Ming and the Rockets. Very cool.

As it was said above, Walton LOVES big men/Centers. So he is a huge fan of Yao Ming!

FYI, the Rockets will be on ESPN TV next Wednesday (12/18) against the Pacers and most likely Walton will be doing the game.

The NBA is probably gonna treat Ming like they treated Francis and probably do it where they are gonna give out CO Rookie of the year honors to MING and WAGNER

Walton sucks. He hated the Rockets and Dream until we won the championships.

He's too dramatic and says stupid things.

Well, at least he loves Yao Ming, he loved the big boy when everyone else thought Ming would be a bust. He is as a hero as Barry.
He said he is not a fan of Olowocandy. Me either. That comment made me a fan of Walton. I don't know why, I agree with him on most things he said.

Let him stay and tell the truth.
